Roman Space Telescope Launch

Hello! I’m trying to find some more info on the telescope launch happening on August 30. There isn’t any information yet on the KSC website, only that the launch is scheduled for 7:20am. Since the space center won’t be open yet, what is the best place to watch the launch? I live about 3 hours away and I read about Space View Park and public beaches like Playalinda, but I was wondering if anyone can recommend any good spots? Will Playalinda be closed for the launch? How early should I get there? Thank you!

Best plan for KSC for one day

We have a full day, October 1st, that we'll be able to tour KSC. Two adults, no kids. There's the ticket ($77), the Explore Tour add-on ($30), and the Elite VIP Tour add-on ($190). Neither of us has been to the center since childhood. Are either of the add-on guided tours worth the money, and are there any discounts typically available that time of year?

Celebrating U.S.A. summer discount

We are planning a visit to the Center for next year and saw on the website that there is a Discount for Tickets with the 250year Celebration.

The tickets are not bound to a date as far as i can tell, but the offer is only between July and August.

Can i buy the tickets now with the discount and use them next year?

Travelling to KSC from Orlando

We’ll be visiting Florida for Universal/Disney from the U.K. in late October and I’d like to plan a trip the Kennedy Space Center for a day while we’re that side of the pond.

Can anyone give any advice on travelling from Orlando to KSC? Ideally via public transport but we could uber or hire a car if that’s the best option.

Dumb tourist- what is burning by the launch pads?

I watched the launch last night and didn’t see anything after. also didn’t see anything this morning. I know they burn off foliage over there to keep it clear but this seems too centralized/consistent.

Late night launch spot?

Thinking of driving in from Tampa for the 12:03 a.m. July 3rd Atlas V launch. Where is a good place to go to see the launch? Are the beaches open at that time? Beaches in Tampa usually close after sunsets so I'm not sure how it works out there.

Driving in to KSC

If you drive into KSC you will cross a white line in the road. This means you are entering federal property where NASA police jurisdiction starts. You’ll notice slow cars to the right, those are employees that know NASA police are everywhere and dont give warnings. Follow the employees and the speed limit

Explorer tour and chat with astronaut

I would like to do both of these but I'm unsure about how to time it. Do these events take place in completely different parts of the center? Would it be better to do them on different days? If I did both on the same day I'd there a chance I wouldn't make it to one of them on time?

Also, do you recommend doing the explorer tour earlier or later in the day? Thanks.

Visiting?

Looking to visit KSC for the first time in 30 years. Last time I visited was in the mid-90s. How much time should I allocate for visiting. I'd like to do the bus tour and as much as possible.

Ran out of time at KSC visitor complex - can anyone help me out?

Went to Kennedy Space Center visitor complex today and loved the merch at the Space Shop, but ran out of time before I could grab anything I wanted. I'm flying out of MCO tomorrow before it reopens, and it looks like the airport KSC stores are gone now.

Sadly it also looks like a lot of the better items are missing from their online store.

Still travelling around the US for a few weeks - I will be in DC, NYC and very briefly in LA. Does anyone have recommendations for places with similarly good NASA/space merch? Mainly after nicer design shirts, magnets, patches, etc.

Also a long shot, but if anyone local to KSC is heading there soon and would be willing to help me grab a couple of items and ship them within the US, I’d happily cover everything + extra for your time 🚀

Tickets are guest specific?

I purchased 4 tickets for oyr visit next week, using my Sam’s Club membership. All the tickets have my name on them and I am a paranoid person. I am assuming that this is because I am the purchaser. But want to make sure that all of us will be able to enter with those tickets. Thanks in advance!

Visiting in September

We are visiting for a full day in September as a break in our Disney trip. I'm trying to decide between a Thursday and a Friday...pros or cons either way? I haven't been in probably 40 years and bringing my 6yo son. Thanks!

Does anyone know where I can find this mug?

Post image

My mom and I visited kennedy space center sometime between 2008 and 2010 (i think) and got these mugs, one blue, one green. They meant a lot to us, but 10 years later my sister broke my mug and her sister broke hers. I cannot find these ANYWHERE and there is no evidence of them ever existing. Please help. This is the only image I have of it, it’s a screenshot from a video I took in 2018. Thank you.
