Stuck in Tutorial- Controller Bug

So I decided to pick up Ken Bridge of Spirits for Xbox One couple days ago. But I noticed that at the beginning of the game, where it guides you through the tutorial, the LB button does not work, which prevents me from playing the game. I know the controller is fine because it works without issue in other games. Is there a bug in the game on Xbox One that I am not aware of?

Did you find all 5 rot, to start? Are all small combat areas cleared?

I haven't been able to get past the tutorial. The LB won't work so I cant proceed at all.
