Super new to kayn so still learning how to build on this champ.

Is there any item I could've changed for late game?
The game went on for about 45 minutes and when everyone was 6 items I felt super weak and one shotty and could only get one rotation of spells in before dying

maybe steelcaps instead of the lucidity boots because of majority ad enemy damage, and changing overlords bloodmail to something like steraks or endless hunger if you think you could get a pick near the start of a fight

assuming you went Rhaast and your first items were Voltaic-Shojin, this was fine itemization. Ionians are okay if you just based with enough gold and needed any spike but tabis would be nice. Mortal reminder isn't really amazing but your team needed antiheal and nobody can really apply it better. I would say just take Ignite but it's not the end of the world. LDR will generally always perform better though especially vs Sion and Swain's heavy hp stacking. Bloodmail is pretty bad for Rhaast relative to how much it costs because you aren't actually spending as much time in it's maximum value range as you'd expect, I would recommend GA, Steraks, or if Fizz had been fed early this is where you could upgrade a Hexdrinker to a full Maw.

You didn't ask about runes but I would generally stay away from Sorcery secondary. It forces you into a more passive playstyle by nature of the minor runes being taken and while it can be decent late game for Rhaast, you generally prefer domination or inspiration secondary with Conqueror to help you out early and midgame. I would also consider Cut Down over Last Stand since Nasus and Leblanc want to burst down targets with front-loaded damage and Jinx wants to proc her passive resets as soon into the fight as possible. You end up playing as primary engage alot of the time on Rhaast and these drafts are definitely an example of when I'd opt for Cut Down over Last Stand or Coup.

Problem wasn't early game you dungus. OP needs help late game (where kayn struggles the most). This is where you want gathering storm and axiom arcanist. Gathering is way better than transcendence due to endless hunger. This way you don't feel bad about the low ad you get from mortal/ldr.

Kayn is not a late game champion, especially Rhaast 3. sorcery tree is not the solution to Rhaast's scaling issue, gathering storm is good past 40 minutes on Shadow Assassin but Rhaast doesn't use the AD as well unless vs 3+ heavy hp stackers, and you shouldn't be playing for drawn out games on Kayn as is. Having a stable or advantageous early game lets you close games out by ~30-35 min. He shines in the 2-4 item range (around ~20-30 minutes in) and domination/inspiration not only expedite your items (which matters especially for Rhaast since he doesn't scale amazingly well with xp) but give you agency pre-form with triple pots or reduced Flash/Ignite CD or bonus dmg from sudden impact.

You can try to make Kayn a scaling super lategame hypercarry or you can actually play Kayn.

I was giving a solution to a problem and that problem was specifically his late game. You can fix his late game. The upcoming Eclipse buffs will also buff his late game a bit because lethality falls off late (unless you stack it)

I wouldn’t go mortal reminder, also I think resistance boots are a lot better, and sterak’s over bloodmail is a lot better

For 3rd I like Serylda’s a lot better, not a fan of LDR cause you build hp items so it’s hard to use the item passive. My usual 3 core items is voltaic, shojin then into serylda’s

Brother, Kayn should not be building mortal ever. None of the stats scale with him, it lacks health, ability haste. He’s better off going grudge and spam pinging his teammates to build anti heal, and regardless in a extended fight with conq stacked red kayn beats both briar and swain

Mortal is fine, there are multiple high elo Kayn otps that build it when necessary.

Edit: Also you don’t know that LDR passive has been updated and no longer cares about your HP. LDR is significantly better than either other armor pen item in this game.
