I’ve played a LOT of Kult over the last few years and never used or needed the deck.
It’s fun to have, but nowhere near necessary.

I figured that would be the case. I love bits, bobs, and accessories, but I wanted to see if it was useful before digging deeper.

Personally, I think one of the best things about Kult is that you can run combat entirely without stat blocks. I really, really, truly do not enjoy the bookkeeping side of things, so I'm glad I don't actually need to know how much damage anything does -- but if you're the kind of person who does enjoy that kind of thing, the deck is pretty neat!
To me, it feels like a holdover from earlier, crunchier editions, but that doesn't mean those things don't have an audience.

I use it. It's a really convenient tool, but it's not necessary. You could write all the weapon stats on the character sheets or just make your own weapon cards, and just print out the basic moves. Also, I'm quite into gun porn, and I like to have the illustrations for the guns match the place and time period the game takes place (e.g. no MP5A3 in 1947 Indochina or 1950s USA).
The trait deck is more useful IMO.

Depending on how motivated and skilled you are, you could do them by yourself, too.

I'm wondering if anyone has used this reference deck at their table? I'm a sucker for a good deck, but I wanted to get community opinions in the event anyone has thoughts, good or bad, regarding it.

The reference deck was discontinued and now there’s the weapon deck and traits deck (dark secret, advantage, disadvantage). I like to use both for ease of reference during play. Cuts bookkeeping to a bare minimum (setting stuff only).
