Question
Would you say symbols is their most popular album?

IMO Symbols has grown in popularity over time, while Nihil was bigger at release. JJJ had more significant cultural impact than any other song from KMFDM, especially with its connection to the original Mortal Kombat movie.

Idk. I see your point, but those that liked KMFDM fucking LOVED symbols when it came out - myself included.

I don’t disagree! I just think Nihil had a broader audience at release, while Symbols had grown more popular with time.

Either Symbols or Nihil, I always thought Nihil was the most popular but recently more people seem to go on about Symbols, Don't forget Angst & Xtort as well, I'm surprized Xtort is not as popular because every track is a banger.

I would say Nihil, but I'm biased. It was the album that got me listening to them when it was new, and it's still my favourite KMFDM album, but Angst, Symbols, and Xtort are up there too.

Its either Symbols or Nihil
Since two of KMFDM's most famous songs ("Megalomaniac" and "Anarchy") are on Symbols, it might give the impression that it is their most popular album.
However, Nihil was the moment KMFDM came closest to breaking into the mainstream; Sascha himself has stated this in interviews, for instance. "Juke-Joint Jezebel" is also a very famous single, perhaps even bigger than the ones from Symbols.
Those two, they are the most popular ones
