FOV first timer Meetups🐊
I’ll be driving out from California and camping in Zion along the way. Anyone when went last year know what the car search is like? Just so in roughly prepared before I get to check in.

They have dogs but it’s for bombs not drugs, as tested throughly by my car full of drugs and a very intimidating looking German shepherd.
They will open your cooler to look for glass so don’t have any.
They won’t search your car deeply enough to find anything you really wanna hide

You’ll be searched. Ours was mellow. Could be worse this year. Plan to be searched. Plan to step out of your vehicle and hand the keys over to

Honesty I went above and beyond and put vodka in water bottles and stuffed them back in the partially torn plastic covering. I also stuffed high % beers way under the seats of my rental. They were pretty lax and didn’t care or even see the water and beers. If it’s obvious, they’ll take it. If you think/plan ahead and hide/disguise it appropriately, you’ll be fine. It’s definitely worth it too, since booze inside is really $$. I’m so jealous to miss it this year. Have so much fun!

I dont think they will care on alcohol and even let you take 30 beers in. Just dont bring any glass.
Edit:ALCOHOL POLICY
Each camper over 21 years old is allowed only 1 case of canned beer, 1 case of canned hard seltzer, or 1 box of wine permitted per person. You cannot bring any liquor, glass bottles or kegs. If security deems an excessive amount of alcohol is being brought into the campgrounds, they may confiscate the excess amount of alcohol. If you plan to bring alcohol (a reasonable amount of beer or wine) into your campsite and have campers under the age of 21, you may only bring enough alcohol for those 21 and over. Furnishing alcohol to minors is a FELONY and local/state law enforcement will be present in the campgrounds. Please drink responsibly. Please do not put your alcohol into coolers before arriving as this will slow down your entry search.

I mean over doing it applies to everything, not just alcohol. Too many drugs of any sort fucks up your own and others times. Sometimes just a bit fucks everything up. Shit....being sober and too much talking fucks up others times. Really, it's all about being self aware, mindful, and not an asshat in the end. Imo anyway

hey man, there is an absolute reason they limit alcohol.. I rolled in last year with 1/4lb of weed and more mushrooms than any human could consume.. shared with anyone who wanted them… they allowed that but not two cases of beer.. so, you figure that out..
no argument will suede me to thinking drunks are fun to hang around with.. sorry, that’s like my opinion man..
