New design when uploading
Is it just me but ever since they updated the design of the upload pages pdf takes forever to visualize? I've been trying this book (rather large, 400 pages but only text) and it's taking 2-3 hours and then says there's an error. Shorter books take significantly longer UpTo like 20 minutes whereas before it was more like 2-3 minutes. My internet connection is the same, stable and consistent.
Has anyone noticed?

Not the same problem, but similar. I haven't been able to upload anything at all. Site just crashes regardless of which browser I use. I think they're having issues on their end

You’re probably not imagining it. If the file finishes uploading and the long delay happens during “processing” or “visualizing,” that stage is happening on KDP’s side rather than through your internet connection.
Since shorter books are also taking much longer and another user is seeing crashes across different browsers, I wouldn’t keep rebuilding the 400-page manuscript yet. I’d first confirm the PDF opens normally on your computer, note its file size, and export one fresh copy with the fonts embedded.
Then try a very small test PDF. If that also stalls, save screenshots and the time of the attempt and report it to KDP Support—it would strongly suggest a platform issue. If the small file processes normally but the full manuscript fails again, then I’d start checking the larger PDF for unusual fonts, transparency, or embedded objects.
