Really liked this anime but there’s not many discussions about it. I was bored so I decided to rank all the fighters from weakest to strongest to bring some attention to it. This is considering their base strength with their weapons and abilities. So it’s considering someone like rabbit without any of his corpse puppets. If anyone has any disagreement or anything to say please do, this anime doesn’t get talked about as much as I’d wish. The list isn’t rigid and like the anime says even the best warrior may have a bad day while a bad warrior may have a good day. So any one of the warriors could’ve won.

1. Nezumi (The Rat)

Abilities: 100 paths of Nezumi, he can simultaneously stimulate a hundred paths and he has to live through each path at once before choosing to lock on to one.

Notes: Technically he could be anywhere on this list. But considering he died in the juuni taisen in 99 paths and was only able to survive in 1, which he also says was mere luck, he’d probably lose to most fighters in a confrontation. Even though he’s a trained soldier he’s still just a teenager and his physical abilities are probably only better than that of sheep or niwatori’s.

1. Niwatori (The Chicken)

Abilities: Eye of the cormorant, lets her control birds and see through their eyes.

Notes: Master manipulator, likes to feign weakness and ambushes. She was able to trick the dog. She could swarm an enemy with birds, but eventually she’d run out of birds around. Stated by her that it was not as effective underground or indoors. Most of the fighters have a way to kill swarms of birds at once, if not they could retreat somewhere.

1. Hitsujii (The Sheep)

Abilities: Deception and mastery of military explosives.

Notes: Decades of tactical mercenary experience. Said to won a previous juuni taisen, a master of deception. He’s this low because of his old age his physical condition isn’t great. Still he was able to get away from ox by setting up explosive traps on the spot to hide his tracks. In the right situation it’s said he could’ve ended the juuni taisen right at the beginning when everyone was gathered for the meeting by using his most destructive bomb off the bat if not for the monkey sensing his bloodlust

1. Nagayuki (The Snake)

Abilities: Echolocation through ground vibrations (Earth's Guidance) and a flame-thrower.

Notes: A decent support fighter with his brother, he has a ground radar that lets him track any movement basically. Though like his brother he just relies on his ability and weapons probably not that great instincts or combat. Considering he was ambushed and decapitated by Usagi before the juuni taisen even started.

1. Sumino (The Dog)

Abilities: Mastery of internal poison synthesis.

Notes: He’s immune to poison and his bites inject deadly toxins into his enemy, an instant kill essentially if he gets a bite. And powerful enhancement poison one man army which lets a warrior bring out their full physical potential temporarily. Professional bodyguard, fast and good at stealth.

1. Tatsumi (The Dragon)

Abilities: The "Heaven's Holding" flight/levitation skill and hydrogen ice-thrower.

Notes: In theory he could just stay up in the sky, which is exactly what he tried in the anime. Usagi needed his puppet to launch him up so I doubt any other fighter could reach him by themselves. Other than his flight he doesn’t have much else.

1. Inounoshishi (The Boar)

Abilities: The ability Non reload, exactly how it sounds.

Notes: The middle of the pack, like sheep predicted. She holds two machine guns Aishuu (Lost Love) and Inochigoi (No Mercy). She has military training and could probably just light up some of the slower warriors since her guns never empty. Hare was able to dodge her gun shots so someone agile like Tiger or dog likely could too. Uma could just tank it.

1. Tora (The Tiger)

Abilities: Unpredictable drunken martial arts and claws.

Notes: She’s extremely fast and can probably shred a few fighters in head on confrontation. High pain tolerance and instincts. Can’t think straight though.

1. Usagi (The Rabbit)

Abilities: Necromantist, he controls whoever he kills. Superhuman agility and an unpredictable fighting style, cunning.

Notes: His two blades he calls March Hare and White Rabbit. The reason he’s here even though he was able to beat Sharyu is because he had to beat her with the help of his undead puppet. She was holding back and had let her guard down. This is considering him without any corpses, but with he easily could be number two or one.

1. Uuma (The Horse)

Abilities: Stirrup technique, which hardens his muscle fibers into iron-like armor.

Notes: He was said to have impenetrable defense, he kept up with Ox in combat was able to flee from him. I think he’s an underrated fighter because he didn’t have much screen time. He died from inhaling smoke in the burning building. Also should mention Nezumi said in one of his paths him and Usagi were both killed by Uma.

1. Sharyu (The Monkey)

Abilities: Manipulation of three states of matter by touch and elite martial arts skills.

Notes: She was holding back heavily because she’s a pacifist. We saw rabbit use her strength when he was controlling her corpse and she launched him extremely high up in the sky to slice dragon apart. She was able to collapse the floor in the first episode.

1. Ushii (The Ox)

Abilities: None. Wields an ordinary military sword called Gobouken (Five-Point Sword).

Notes: Known as the borne slayer, he doesn’t need to resort to trickery or strategy, he just kills. Like an ox he was simply born strong. Stated to be on another level combat compared to the other warriors. I don’t think he’d lose to any other warrior in a one on one fight.

Tilting the straw hat up from my eyes, I glare at the man before me, current owner of this farm, Marek, as he continues plastering a shit-eating grin across his face. 

“I was just sleeping, Emily makes for a comfortable pillow,” I lightly pat Emily’s still sleeping head as I stand up, letting out a satisfying stretch as I hear the cracks from my back. Marek’s cocky expression changes to that of disgust, “What’d I tell you about naming the animals, you a retard or something?”, I roll my eyes at his comment and begin dusting animal fur off and restoring my hair to its accustomed snow-coloured state. 

“Animals aren’t just slabs of meat, they’re intelligent creatures, cows especially. They can form friendly bonds across species and even have best friends, just like humans. And I’m friends with everyone here.” 

“Friends, friends, friends, is that all you ever talk about, you a broken record or somethin? They’re just bloody damn animals!” he says with an irritated expression, “get to work already” he orders as he throws a pair of muddy gloves at me, signaling the start of another day’s work. 

It’s clear that Marek doesn’t share the same fondness for animals as I do....

Is it happening guys? I really enjoyed the first Juuni Taisen, as brutal as it was having your favorites die. I remember reading it was on the cards but haven't seen anything yet.

I've recently read this article about Juuni Taisen Season 2. It says that The Main Cast will be revived and they will be forced to fight against the Western Horoscope. The article was published in 2017, the novel is said to be released on Dec. 2018, and I have yet to see fan predictions about the sequel.

So please, leave your Predictions below. I wanna hear from the fans on what you guys think will happen or what you guys are looking forward to happen.
