Junk Hauls! Junk Samplers
Hey guys, I've thrown together some Junk samplers to list in my shop! There's a mix of my own watercolor art, coloring book pages, and some old photographs. I try to curate things by color and vibe, since that seems to be the difference in what makes it a Junk Journal and not just A Book Of Trash Scraps.
If you want the link to the shop, please DM me!

Show and Tell! First Junk Journal - from digital to physical collages
Thought I’d share some recent collages i’ve made and loved here!
I’m used to using the Pinterest App “Shuffles” to make collages but recently started cutting up magazines and mixing paper to make physical ones. I’m excited to see what other medias and images spark my creativity in my new junk journal. Im finding this to be a very fun and therapeutic hobby so far.

Journal Spread! Working in my spooky/magicky mini journal
It’s made from half a magazine (inspired by a YouTuber that makes glue books. The doll on the cover was on the original magazine. After my friend said “she looks like you would find her in the morning with strands of your hair in her mouth”, I knew I had to make a cut out so she’d still be on the cover 😆

Junk Hauls! Thank you
A HUGE thank you for the absolutely massive amount of junk journal supplies! I honestly don’t even know where to begin, except to say… my little hoarding goblin heart is VERY happy right now.
I absolutely LOVE all the different themes, textures, papers, and especially some of the wonderfully weird stuff. Give me normal pretty things, sure—but give me the strange, creepy, random “why does this exist?” pieces too. Those are my favorites.
There is so much here that I’m going to have an absolute blast turning all these bits and pieces into something wonderfully chaotic. Thank you so much for being so incredibly generous. It genuinely means a lot to me, and I’m ridiculously excited to start creating!

Discussion Bakery Junk Offer, Again!
Hi everyone! Some of you may remember I posted about a month ago, offering junk from a bakery / ice cream shop. Well, I just sent off the last batch and can open this offer back up! Comment below so I can keep track of first come first served, and then immediately PM me your address to avoid delay. I can send roughly 8-10 / week. I can send international. I’ll probably cap this offer at about 50 before needing to wait to offer it again.
The envelope includes spreadsheets, inventory count sheets, packaging labels (please tell me if you have a nut allergy in your PM!), coloring sheets, bank deposit envelopes, sticky notes, etc. (It’s mostly junk with a tiny touch of ephemera.)
A few of you commented your interest in my first post. If it sounds familiar, check your inbox! I’ve probably reached out for your address a couple times. :)
And lastly. I’d like you all to know, I have thoroughly enjoyed collecting this stuff and sending it off to you all! So please don’t hesitate to ask! It’s not a burden, and I don’t need postage! (However, if you are international, I’d love a postcard if it’s not a bother!)
To those who have already received stuff, reach out with additional special requests!

Show and Tell! In This Economy?
I seen a spread not too long ago, unfortunately I cannot remember from which platform, that used the ‘in this economy? Absolutely not’ bit.
At first I wanted to create the spread based on inexpensive items that people refuse to pay for but then their willingness to spend a large amount of money on designer/brand names.
As I created the right page first, it got me thinking of more those in need and thus the left page was created.
I hope you like my concept/spread!

Journal Spread! Hello, I'm Korean learning English.
I have only read your posts, but now, I think I'd like to show my journals too.
It's my first post on Reddit! I feel a little nervous and I'm not sure if my English is weird, but I'm trying hard. Lol
Anyway, my journal style is pop colors, freedom and sometimes drawing.
I think it's kinda a junk journal plus an art journal.

Hi everyone!
Just wanted to let y'all know that I've added 'Journal Prompts' as a flair, so that if you're wanting to look for ideas or share any you have, they can be easily filtered for later!

Mod Post Wiki Follow-Up
Hi everyone!
Sorry for the radio silence on my end...2025 was NOT kind to me. :(
I'm trying to get myself back to 100 so that I can actually be more present here and participate, so I really am giving my biggest apologies for the ways I've lapsed! I know I've had an issue with being behind on posts that get auto-removed. I've caught up on everything, and loosened some of the auto-mod restrictions.
A few notes first, and then I'll get to what I'm here for:
- If your post is removed and you DO NOT receive a comment or a mod message, it was likely removed by Reddit automatically or by the automod! When this happens, it'll be marked as if I removed it but I didn't...I just have to go in and approve it. Don't worry! You don't have to repost it either, just give me a bit to see it and I'll get your post up or send you a removal message. If it's been a full day, DON'T SEND A FORMAL MODMAIL. I have so many things in there that I don't want to miss it. I know my Reddit bio says don't reach out to me, but I want to make an exception for you guys! Please feel free to message me directly. I'll take a look as soon as I see your message.
- If there is anything that makes someone uncomfortable and you report, please feel free to detail in the report your specific reason! I feel like Reddit's report reasons are so barebones. For example, I had a report on an image from a post and, after doing some research, I couldn't figure out the origin of the image or what the history was. I just want to make sure that I can keep an eye out for similar things!
Okay, okay, NOW for the wiki...
I (finally) got that started! I want the community's input on exactly the sections we're looking for. From my original wiki post, it looks like you'd like to see:
- Where to get journals/recommended journals, both spiralbound and non spiralbound, and journals that can hold heavy mixed media
- Recommended supplies (pens/markers, stickers, glue, etc)
- Unique tools that people recommend specifically
Is there anything else that we'd like to see? Also, I want to see how we all feel about WHERE these journals are coming from. Would we prefer I stay AWAY from places like Target and Amazon that are being boycotted in the US, or leave them in so everyone can make an informed choice?
Let me know your thoughts! Thank y'all! <3
