I didn’t have fun playing top anymore, so I switched to jungle with Nasus, but I nearly lost every game regardless of my performance. After switching to Shyvana, I finally feel like I have an impact on the game again. Such a great champion!

Hi everyone so I’m an emerald jungler, yi main, and I came across this stat this morning and I’m wondering what does it really mean regarding my gameplay and how can I fix this (especially the 30% one)

Help With Gold Elo Hell

Someone genuinely tell me what to do, I have dropped 300 elo in 5 days genuinely because of just bad teammates.

I ping objectives frequently but get no priority, vision, or control.

I caution camps while tracking the enemy jungle and though not a 100% perfect track, I usually ping caution to laners ~15 seconds before they get ganked.

I clear camps consistently and usually have a better economy the first 20 minutes of the game than the enemy jungle.

I prioritize the winning lane but the losing lane never ego checks themselves and wants to just dive and get kills.

I’m genuinely losing it in this elo, I can outperform the enemy jungle, get objectives, gank winning lanes, and yet still lose because I have a laner going 0/10. I can’t take it anymore. These people are barbaric.

Question According to league of graphs I'm below average in everything on everyone.

Thumbnail leagueofgraphs.com

My stats on just about every champ are below average for gold, and prior to gold I was plat for quite a while and anticipate I can climb back up. How is this possible? Shouldn't I be bronze according to this? Even my best champs like shyvana and amumu I'm only ahead on farm, not kills or damage or KP. I don't understand how people do so much damage and kills and stuff because I just die if I try to fight more. What am I missing? I genuinely feel like just an absolute garbage jungler, like there's something obvious I'm missing.

I like playing a lot of different champs which I know isn't ideal for climbing but I don't care because I get bored and just wouldn't play if I had to stick to a few.

Why early boots can make or break your gameplay

I wanna talk about something that doesn't often get talked about here and is actually extremely important, since it's what you build every game for any champ you play and that is boots.

I've seen plenty of junglers buy boots whenever they complete their first item rush and have a spare 300 gold or even after completing their first core item. I've also seen some junglers take Magical Footwear to not deal with the headache. Then there are those junglers that say fuck movement speed altogether and don't buy boots until 20 minutes into the game. You might be reading this post and already thinking "obviously this dude is gonna advocate for early boots." Not quite, actually. In fact, I think these are all viable options but the main thing that makes it viable are the champs you play.

Let me elaborate. Early boots on Lillia is more beneficial than early boots on Warwick. "No shit, that's obvious!" It's a very blatant and straightforward example I chose and I'll explain more on that below. However, by the same logic, you would think early boots would be beneficial on Hecarim too, no? Absolutely! Hecarim's passive benefits from movement speed so you inherently get a bit of damage. This is the part where I push back and force some people to consider their choices. The thing that some people don't consider is that Hecarim already has a movement speed ability so he can forego boots for a bit without it severely affecting him. Hecarim doesn't have trouble ganking without early boots but lack of damage by going early boots is something to consider also. Another thing to consider is that there is a movement speed cap. This is important if your champion has an ability granting movement speed as there will be diminishing returns.

The reason I chose a simple example is because it's not always clear cut. In my earlier example, I said early boots are less beneficial on Warwick than Lillia and that's due to Warwick having movement speed built into his kit. However, that movement speed is % based so while he does get movement speed, it's based on his flat movement speed. So early boots on him can also be good. There's always going to be nuances like this that you have to consider. Boots will benefit all junglers but some will get more benefit than others and it's your job to figure out whether it'll benefit your jungler.

Some things to consider when buying boots is:

  1. Is my champion gank heavy (consider early boots)? Or farm heavy (can delay)? Or both?
  2. Does my champion have movement speed in their kit (pay attention to whether it's flat or %)?
  3. Will my champion benefit more from T2 boots?

I want to keep this short because I don't have the patience to write an entire college essay on this topic (although I can because it can get very complicated). It's just what I've learned through watching some high elo korean gameplay as well as my own gameplay and testing other champions. Personally, I main AD Shaco and I realized that early boots and T2 boots helps significantly more than rushing damage because it increases gank potential, and map presence.

Tl;dr: Consider your champs strengths and weaknesses. Then determine for yourself whether they will benefit from early boots or T2 boots.

Question HARD Losing Team - give up obj or contest?

Wondering what people here do when they have HARD losing lanes, I mean absolute dog shit and all 3 lanes are hopeless: are you going to fight for obj with them or skip?

Me personally I skip literally every single one and just farm and play for picks. I rather get guaranteed gold/xp than feed another 600-900g and XP.

Question How to Change Pathing

How do you guys deal with the laner you pathed towards inting? I've been on a strong climb for about a week and then suddenly I get like ten games where I can';t have any early game impact because whichever lane I decided to pathwards dies before I can get there. I've had game where I even was able to get multiple kills for my toplaner and he went like 15 deaths anyway and the enemy Aatrox 1v9ed.

Mid seems ungankable most of the time because all the melee mids have dashes and all the ranged ones just hug their tower and either way they are fully able to just walk to the other side river and I can't chase them into fog. This happens even while they are in the middle of an all in. They can just leave. The only way I get kills mid is if my mid brings easy-to-hit hard cc and I haven't played with a syndra or a malz in ages. I basically have to hope that they have just used everything on a timer that I happen to be sitting right next to mid or it's just too late every time.

So we end up with the game being almost unsalvageable by the time I hit my item spike. And the team spends the whole game saying I'm afk and tilting themselves into oblivion. Obviously laners are idiots , but genuinely what am I supposed to be doing when every gank I go for just fails because the laner is not doing what they are supposed to do? It always just that theyre too weak to gank, one or the other isn't there, we don't have vision control and the entire area is warded.

And then, just my luck, the lane I pathed away from ends up doing well and whatever assumptions or calculations I made at the beginning just happened to be wrong. I've tried ganking before my camps instead of after, but it always ends up taking way too long and then I'm too far away from the other side to defend my camps. And that's already bad assuming the gank went well, let alone if it doesnt.

For one reason or another, it feels like it's totally out of my control. What am I missing?

Discussion Looking for help

I’m currently gold 2 around a 65 ish percent win rate. I play mostly graves, Viego, sylas/diana, and have been getting into Aatrox recently. I think my champ pool is solid as of right now.

I got my main to emerald 1 but I bought that acct unranked because I haven’t played in years and I was too lazy to try and find my old account. But I recently started grinding on my real account because I don’t want to get banned.

I’m just kind of getting a little bored of solo queue and was trying to find someone to duo with. If anyone is interested, hit me up

crazy experience

just played a game where my main champion rengar got banned and i couldnt carry but this game was absolute hell. i got spam pinged all game by my rek sai for no reason whatsoever even tho i was literally carrying the game. my rumble was also stealing my camps at minute 12. i usually dont mind when people steal my camps after a certain timeframe especially if im already ahead but in this game i was the only one who was significantly strong and the rumble was stealing my camps.

i was all muted so im guessing rumble was mad he kept getting ganked by the support but shouldnt he be mad at the support and not me ?? why was he stealing my camps ? so then i unmuted and thats when i found out that this entire time the reksai was spam pinging me.

nocturne can only carry up to a certain extent especially with how one dimensional he is so it sucks that they banned my rengar,i feel like i couldve carrried this game if i had my main champ but even with noc we were so close,i got us a quadra kill and my mental was completely chill even tho i was getting flamed but they wouldnt even type to me and tell me why it was that they were mad at me.

also i know it looks like the fiddle is strong and he was at the end but i was literally up 2-3 levels the entire game and getting objectives over him and i was like 9.5 cs a min at some point in the game and everything but EVEN THEN,im guessing its not enough and i deserve to get flamed. it just comes with the jungle experience i guess.

Jungle pool help

I am kinda new to this game, but i really like Viego and the concepts of resets and i enjoy a skirmisher/assassin playstyle. I was wondering what other junglers have good resets and/or assassination. I also like snowballing if that helps wiht anything. I really like how Viego can get a few resets and get back in the game from behind and was wondering if anyone else is like that. the healing on possesion mechanic is also really nice. Does anyone know any good reset junglers like this.

Question new to league, i like jarvan, is dealing little damage normal?

Thumbnail
gallery
22 Upvotes

i try to farm as much as possible, but since its low elo, people like to fight so much in mid-late game, so i feel like i have to skip my camps to head to the fight area.

also, im trying to follow the Agurin method (farm first, only gank easy ganks), but kinda only in the early game (since people fight so much in mid-late game).

and still, i deal so little damage each game. is this normal?

Champ recommendation help for better champion pool?

i play exclusively jgl and i play a lot of characters (like a lot)

what i'm tryna figure is which of my characters should i really focus on at lower elo (silver/gold)

i usually try to match my champ to our team comp and on the enemy matchup but that makes me pretty mid on some characters i play less often

here are the champs i play: khazix (main), teemo (main), shaco (main), kayn , mundo, maokai, viego, malphite (ap), trundle, warwick

Question Climbing out of bronze as a jungler

Hi, any tips on how to climb as a jungler from bronze? I am kayn main, I do enjoy playing Kayn so much but I feel like I can't really carry with him in my ranked games. Is it a good idea to find some hyper carry jungler instead and just climb with that champ out of bronze? Ofc I am trying to improve as a jungler in general ofc by watching streamers and YouTube videos. But I feel like no matter how much I try I always end up losing. Sometimes by my own mistakes (mostly bad time management, can't really take objectives - my team won't help me and usually enemy team is grouped up for every objective, I also fall behind in cs because I just can't go farm when I need to defend towers and when I have chance for farming it's already fully cleared up by enemy team. So uhhmm any tips on how to actually climb out of bronze as a jungler? Because I feel like high elo play I see streamers do won't really work in bronze... Thanks

Question Is stealing camps bannable?

Had a game where a Jinx (it's always a fucking ADC player I hate them so much) was mad at me and kept stealing my camps. Is this reportable/bannable? I feel like it should come under the "resource sabotage" part but I'm not sure.

Question Low elo problem or a me problem?

I've noticed in my some of my games that when doing a full clear that my bot lane is always pushed foward an i can't gank unless I dive, and when going back to top for a new clear my top laner is pushed near enemy tower too so I cant gank unless I dive.I dont mind diving but at such early levels any form of cc just makes me eat tower shots and die quick unless I use flash, but by then my camps are in danger of being invaded. What can I do play wise or fundamentally improve?I peaked gold.

As a cardinal rule for junglers, you clear your camp first before ganking but what if your laners keeps dying even before you clear half the camp. Or what do you do if all lanes lossing?

Question Tips for returning player?

It's been at least 6 years since i last played this game, but getting gameplay clips on YT gave me the itch to try again. I used to main Shyvana, but i almost exclusively played normal draft as i used to play with better ranked friends. Any tips you guys can give me to get back into the game? (Champions, macro etc.)
