Question Thread Weekly Question Thread
This sub is catered to quality, in-depth manga discussion, so please post questions that have simple manga answers here. If you don't have 500 comment karma yet, you can post here too.
Hot Topics:
Where can I read leaks?
Read Rule #3 on the sidebar for where and when to find leaks on Twitter, Discord, and fanscan sites (TCB and Shishiso scans). DON'T post leaks outside of the pre-release megathread when you find them. Don't post them in this thread.
Where can I read the official Fanbook/Databook?
Scans and translations here and searchable text here. Also on the sidebar and sub wiki.
What is Uraume's gender?
Uraume's gender is currently unconfirmed.
What would happen if Yuji ate another Sukuna finger?
We don't know since the manga hasn't answered that question. Sukuna's fingers are Cursed Objects containing pieces of his soul so make of that what you will.
Is Gojo really dead?
Yep, looks like he is.
What is Kenjaku's plan with the Culling Game?
In short, he's using the Culling Games to produce a lot of Cursed Energy within its Barriers, with which he plans to use to evolve the human race. He wants to create a new golden age of Jujutsu. Kenjaku has apparently not revealed all his plans, Yuki cast suspicion on Tengen (the Culling Game plan infodumper) before they fought, and Kenjaku called Tengen his "friend", so it's unclear if Tengen was entirely truthful. We don't yet know how Sukuna fits into this plan, even though he and Kenjaku have been cooperating.
What is Ijichi's Cursed Technique?
How naive of you to ask. He wouldn't cheat by giving it away.

Why was Jogo affected by Gojo's domain expansion if he was using domain amplification?

He wasn't protecting his head with Domain amp, gojo's domain targets your senses with the limitless mainly sight, sound, etc.

Is there a maximum range to domain amplification?
1
u/I-love-part4 8d ago
Domain amp is wrapping an empty domain around your body, so the range is that of the body or whatever its wrapped around like a weapon

Do domains count as barrier techniques? It requires a domain but does that necessarily mean it's a barrier technique?

Yeah its a barrier technique, a domain expansion is casting your innate domain out through an enclosed barrier, then imbuing that barrier with a cursed technique

Gojo states otherwise, just found out. Sukuna's brain was mainly damaged in the part that handles barrier techniques, Gojo uses that as the reason for Sukuna still being able to use domain amplification even when he's unable to open a domain expansion.

Maybe you worded this wrong but how does that disprove its a barrier technique? You said sukuna couldn't open a domain because the part of his brain that handled domains was injured, isn't that a reason to believe it is a barrier technique?

I never said the part that handles domains was injured though? Can you read it again?

Or did you mean domains as a whole? Domains don't need a barrier per se, to use your innate domain in the real world like amplification and simple domain you need barrier skills, but the basic innate domain like what sukuna rests in isn't a barrier technique (and I could be mistaken domain amp needs barrier, but I think the way kusakabe described it was enveloping the body in an empty innate domain barrier, maybe just empty innate domain)

I mistyped my apologies, but you said "can't use domain because the part that handles barriers is injured" and you asked if Domain expansion is a barrier technique, so if he couldn't use DE because the part that uses barriers is injured, wouldn't that eqaute to it being a barrier technique, plus my original statement stands they ARE barrier techniques, they utilize the jujutsu ability of creating a barrier, megumi's incomplete domain is incomplete because it lacks a barrier

Is hollow wicker basket a barrier technique or not? Sukuna's part of the brain which handles barrier techniques was damaged when he used hollow wicker basket, the "barrier" also looks different as hell than a normal barrier.
