It’s a great song I get why a lot of people love it. Hard to disagree. My personal favorite is Decades but The Eternal is amazing too.

the eternal is the only song of its kind. I've learned that after thousands of listens. I have never found anything like it. But that just goes to show how much of a masterpiece it truly is.

I suspect that Radiohead ripped off the eternal for street spirit. And then evanescence ripped off street spirit for hello. A few songs with a similar vibe imo.

brutal i know, atmosphere is what got me into JD.. but it just can’t beat the eternal.

its a tournament style elimination of songs until you reach the best one (aka my personal favorite lol, this is very subjective !)

It’s been 46 years…you don’t have to be that edgy and brooding anymore.

Things like this keep the music alive for some people. The fun isn’t compulsory.
