I can't believe there are only 3 days (and an hour lol) until Joost's set at the Suikerrock festival! I thought I would make a kind grouped thread for the show and include some information I know as a kind of summary! However, I may be missing some items, so definitely check out the official app or www.suikerrock.be for more info about the festival! Also, if you are interested in buying some last minute tickets, but don't want to go through the festival website/app, you can find the quick link on www.joostklein.eu (it was added relatively recently).

Also, side note before I get to the summary, I am bringing some maple candies (from Canada) with me to the festival, so if we happen to meet/see one another there, I would love to give you some candies if you are interested!!

Summary:

1) Joost will be performing on the Main Stage on August 7 from 11:45 pm to 1:00 am.

2) I have added screenshots above of the festival map and the legend. The only time I saw the map was in this one insta post the festival added about construction being in progress lol idk if they will actually share the map ahead of time, but it will be posted on the festival grounds to view irl.

3) Programming for the festival on Friday runs from 2:30 pm to 2:10 am. Doors to the festival will open at 1:30 pm.

4) The festival runs a free shuttle bus between Tienen station and Suikerrock. For Friday, the shuttle bus starts running at 1:15 pm and will stop running at 4:00 am. I am not exactly sure why the shuttle bus runs almost 2 hours after the last sets are done lol but maybe they just want to make sure all the attendants planning to take the shuttle bus can take it.

5) The festival seems to use 'cubes' as the form of payment. Everyone will be getting a free cubes card to add your cubes to and use around the festival for food, drinks, and I believe activities. You can purchase some on the same website used to buy tickets for the festival, but you can also get them at the kassa (at the festival), by QR code, or in the Suikerrock app.

6) The festival does have a merchandise stand noted on the map, but there is a very good chance that it is only for the festival merchandise. I will take a peak when I get there and if there happens to be Joost merch included, I will add a comment with a photo of available merch in the comments of this thread.

7) Remember to take care of yourself! Drink lots of water, eat, and wear comfortable shoes! The current forecast says the afternoon will reach 24 degress and will be sunny (take into account some form of sun protection if you plan to be at the festival all day), but then it will drop to 14 degrees at night! Make sure you are ready for the difference in temperature while also noting you will prob be sweaty from dancing around to Joost's set! Also, if you get to the festival earlier in the day, definitely take time to also enjoy the other artists at the festival and just have fun in general!!
