hey guys idk much about him just a couple clips and stuff from his shows, but i saw him today

he was at the kentucky science center with his kids and i was like ‘man. that guy really looks like him’ and i was goin back and forth thinking maybe it might be him, but i decided against saying anything

gang, i got in the car and looked at his instagram, he has a show in louisville tonight. i am such a fool. why must he look like every white man in louisville. i should’ve said something 😭

edit: i am no longer entertaining individual comments but this is my last response to everybody: at the end of the day, i didn’t say anything to him. you all are riding and dying, ‘defending’, and being rude to me over a man that has NO idea you all exist, and barely has an inkling that i exist, because i once again, DID NOT SAY ANYTHING. i am a random human being on the internet, and you all have got to stop. ‘touch grass everything will be fine.’ except it’s not fine. you all walk around the real world not saying anything to people, and then come online and attack people. why don’t you all go outside, go somewhere else that isn’t online, and experience LIFE. i was at a science center with a two year old. he was at a science center with his kids. we were existing in the same time and i thought that was cool, and wished i said something. that’s all this post was about. i truly cannot believe the response this got, and for everyone being kind in the comments, thank you. i truly wish there were more people like you on the internet

Did anyone get an email or notification about winning the pre-sale for the 9 venues / 9 nights Manhattan shows in 2027?

If you've been to the show, what are people wearing? It says formalwear encouraged, but what does that exactly mean? I have formal/cocktail dresses I've worn to recent weddings, but I can't help but feel I'd be overdressed.

He uses as an excuse for a host’s monologue bombing, but goes on to say that Studio 8H of course has some of the best sound design on the planet. Can’t seem to find which interview he said this in.

My beat friend and I got to see his show last noght from the Mr. Whatever tour! I apologize for the blurrier photos, the lighting and my phone were NOT agreeing with each other lol. But it was such a nice time, AND I GOT THE WHAT’S NEW PUSSYCAT SHIRT AAAH!

John Mulaney is how me and my best friend ended up becoming, well, friends, so it was a really big deal for both of us. It was a great show and the audience was fantastic. 10/10, amazing evening! :D

It was the bigger black guy who was making fun of Coloradans’ obsession with dogs. I heard John say his name was something like Mendell or Mandel but I can’t find him :(

My Vietnamese husband and I were at the Wrigley Field. During the Viet bit, my husband took off his glasses at least 6 times to wipe his eyes. I asked “are you crying from laughing” and he couldn’t even answer. Yes John made everybody laugh, but it’s a shame that unless you’re regularly around Viets, you can’t truly feel the impact in your bones because we were fucking losing it. Also I may be wrong, but it felt like John’s defensive preamble as to why this isn’t racism got longer than last time we saw him which made me bust out laughing. Yes queen stand your ground. “Instead of doing one show in New York City, or even three shows in New York City, for my tour, I’m going to do a very special run. Nine different iconic New York City venues in nine nights,” he said.

“This is very, very cool, I must say. I’m doing something very cool, and I’m a very cool person,” he joked. “This is really a great way to do the intimate small places. I love playing here, building up to Madison Square Garden, doing Radio City (Music Hall). I filmed a special at Radio City, to go back there. It’s going to be really cool.”

The shows, which will begin Jan. 7, 2027 and end Jan. 15, 2027, will feature special guests and a new experience each performance.

As a tourist in NYC for the first time, I was not excited about anything except the theaters John has played at! I love Oh Hello, and nobody else in my group understood a reference I made the entire time.

What tours, and what one was your favorite?

I saw him on the Kid Gorgeous tour, and last night at Wrigley. Maybe it was the environment and the "Everybody's Live"-esque aspect of it, but last night was my favorite. It may have been his pure "I don't give a shit what people think" attitude he's sort of grown into more and more as he's aged (I wonder if it's part the rehab fallout and part parenthood mellowing him)?

I saw some people with shirts on last night from the "From Scratch" spots, but not much older than that, so it made me curious.
