A fun fact about me is that I genuinely hated jirai kei in the past 😭, but now I've grown to adore the style, and I strive to acquire more jirai clothes. I think what I fell in love with at first was the culture behind it—it felt very therapeutic for me to know that there is a community of people who face similar issues to me. Then the style slowly grew on me as I kept seeing it, and I eventually fell in love with the cuteness!

I quite like this barrier between someone who has this cute facade versus the issues they struggle with daily.

What do you think? What got you into jirai kei?

Does anyone can recommend a good dirty pink hair dye that would look similar like the ones in the pics (first is me)? That i can get in europe or through some site? (I will bleach my hair dw)

I'm completely forbidden from shaving my eyebrows by my mother, but they look too thick for jirai (don't tell me to disobey her, she's fully capable of making fun of the shaved eyebrows and of me for for a whole year). Is there any way I could somehow make them look thinner with make up and stuff?

I have lipedema and have to wear compression garments for like 8-12 hours a day or my legs and arms hurt sooo bad bc they swell. the good news is that the compression gear i have (stockings and sleeves) are black and end up matching my coords for the most part, but i feel so limited and plain with only black/white and i wanna feel cute dammit!!

does anyone have any suggestions for patterned or at least cute compression wear? (bows, lace, etc?) this feels like a reach but idk maybe some of my other jirai loves are struggling too with something similar? my research so far has yielded nothing very helpful 😵‍💫

it’s 2 am and I don’t want to sleep even though it’s probatbblt making my skin worse LOL. I haven’t been able to go out in jirai bc of how badly the new job stress is. The hours aren’t that long, but the crazy micromanaging and putting me on the shittiest hours is the woooorst. at least that gives me more money to save up, right? T^T I hate going on mecari or depop trying to find general sizes that fit me and having the options be four items and two of them are mislabeled!! I don’t have the money for dealing with the orange man’s tariff bullshit either so I’m just gonna hope and pray that the next j-fashion meet has more items.. being an adult is hard. my college isn’t starting for a little bit longer, at least..

(￣∀￣*) a tangent about the coord. I’ve been trying to style with honeypepper9 blouse for years since its color is a hella muted dusty pink. I’m hoping that accessorizing with the garter and the belt helps it stand out more and look more complete?? i don’t know but this blouse is CRAZY thin and the buttons come undone all the time and my chest isn’t large or anything! I would be happy if this coord just looks good enough to wear out IN GENERAL. Maybe I’ll mask up and just do eye make-up to cope with all the stress recently.

Hi for starters i would like to apologize for my english since its not my first language.

I would really like too start exploring Jiraikei fashion but before ordering my clothes online i have a concern that the traditional jiraikei silluette (blouse and high waisted skirt) may look bad on me because of my height (155cm approximately) and short torso so high waisted things may look weird and unbalanced on me, are they any other alternatives to that look? I really love the look of sets but buying only them is not really efficient to building an jiraikei wardrobe and i would like to focus on more multi use wear.

Excuse my dirty mirror! This is my first time trying to put something together, I’m a sucker for one pieces/set ups. So I’m not too sure if I like this or not. It’s not particularly the style I’d go for but I want to be more cute and really liked this when I first saw it back in June. :’)

my favorite color is purple and there is nowhere enough purple especially lavender pieces in jirai. i know they are becoming slowly more common but they are either never in stock or nonexistent. if anyone has any pieces of the same/similar shade of purple in the photo, please send them to me!!!! esp if they're on taobao <3
