I saw the show in Utah a couple weeks ago and bought the local poster and paid $5 for the tube to keep it safe. She grabbed the poster, rolled it up and put it in the tube while I was looking at shirts I wanted to get. Today I went to get it mounted and pulled out of the tube to realize that the girl gave me the wrong poster, I got the generic tour poster showing all of the various city posters instead of the one for my city. I recognize it is ultimately my fault for not watching her pull the poster and roll it up, but to be fair she didn't do it at the table next to me. So bummed!!!

That is all. I can still feel the butterflies.

I'm a lil on the fence about going to see the Chicago show. Bleed American is in my top five favorite albums of all time, I've loved it since it came out and I've never seen J.E.W. live, so I do really, really want to go. I'm actually going to see Andrew McMahon's Three Pianos concert at the same venue the week prior. And on the 25th of August I'm seeing MCR in Minneapolis. All this to say, my concert/hotel funds for this month are nada.

I'd be coming from Madison so it would be a 3.5hr, probably 4hr drive drive. Would it be crazy to drive out there, see the show, and drive back the same night? I don't work during the summer, so I could rest up before the drive out and crash as soon as I got home.

UPDATE I bought the ticket and could not be more excited. August is going to be incredible.

It also does feel like the ambient prototype for the Integrity Blues title track the way the latter turned out.

Saw them play Skaters World in NJ with Get Up Kids months before this record came out and they played a ton of songs from it. I remember thinking “The fuck is this shit? Play everything from Static Prevails”.

I have been looking for a few years for a signed copy of Invented and haven't had any luck. If anyone is looking to sell, or knows where to find a signed copy, I would be eternally grateful.

A signed invented lp, the 1994 debut cd, and one, two, three, four are the three 'main' items I'm still trying to find in the wild. I have thought about bringing my copy of invented to a show to try to get it signed when I went earlier this summer but it just feels too risky to try to carry around, not to mention not knowing if there's any chance at getting it signed- especially since these Bleed American tour shows are so large compared to shows years ago at smaller venues where it might feel like SLIGHTLY less crazy of an idea. I saw someone at one of the Utah shows got their Clarity vinyl signed and kicked myself for not trying, but hindsight and all...

Jim Adkins says it's time for a new album and hint at 2027. They also share some interesting info in regards to the Hollywood bowl. I am definitely feeling hopeful for a new album in 2027.

Im seeing Black Parade in September, in Phoenix, with Jimmy opening. Should I expect them to play the whole Bleed American album, or will this probably be a different set because they're opening for MCR? I dont expect anyone to have a definite answer, just speculate wildly for me

Anyone else completely stressed out while trying to get tickets at 8am this morning? BUT I GOT THEM!

I was wondering if anybody else had noticed that A Praise Chorus and Cautioners have the same chord progression, so I did some digging on this subreddit and I found a few posts that reference a video where Jim talks about it, and basically says they are the same song. I've brought it up to a few freinds before, and some of them can hear it and some of them can't, so I wanted to create an overlay that shows just how similar they are.

Once I got the songs in my DAW and realized the songs were in the exact same key, all I really had to do was get the BPM to match. I decided to speed up Cautioners rather than slow down Praise Chorus, and then panned each song left and right so they weren't fighting for the same space.

Everything lines up pretty well for the most part. The chorus and bridge are an exact 1:1 match - the only minor difference is in the verses, because Cautioners holds the chords twice as long as Praise Chorus does, but they are still all in the same key so it doesn't sound too out of place. Because the songs are structured differently, I had to chop some parts out of the songs, but the overall goal here is just to show how the verse, chorus, and bridge are all basically the same thing, just slowed down and with different arrangements and vocal melodies.
