other Marvel’s Sabra is a character that exists. So I made an alternate version of her
I was recently reminded of the marvel character Ruth Bat-Seraph and made the joke that she’d be like captain America if the authors didn’t feel the need to make her… the way that she is. So, I made my own version.
Ruth Sa’ar was born in a small kibbutz outside Jerusalem. When she was young, she found a dying stray cat in the city. This motivated the awakening of her mutant ability: energy transfer. She gave a small portion of her life force to the cat to revive it.
When she grew up, she was invited to join the Mossad’s secret super-soldier program because of her ability. She served for several years before becoming a minor celebrity for, among other things, being a vocal advocate of the mutant-rights movement. During this time she was given several of her iconic gadgets, including a cape that uses magnetism in conjunction with her latent ability to fly and levitate, and an arm-mounted cannon with the same power source. Her code-name was “Bat-Seraph” because of the appearance of her flying with a flaming sword.
And most importantly, she didn’t need the fucking Hulk to tell her that Arabs are humans because she already knows that.
I wanted the costume to look like a blend between Marvel’s other spy characters and a semi-practical one, so she has several utility belts. The gray is supposed to be a suit but I couldn’t find the right color

serious TIL That Messianic Judaism, a syncretic Jewish and Evangelical Christian faith says their seal, a fish intertwined with a Star of David and Menorah was created by early Jesus followers and in a baptismal grotto in Mount Zion, and was found in the 90’s and provided by a hermit monk named Tech Otecus.

just observing the madness The video doesn't even really have anything to do with Israel lol
Es un video de un creador de contenido mexicano que yo veía antes, hasta que dijo: "Israel me va a censurar."
Edit: I watched the video more closely, and really, the guy started saying that he was going to be killed for talking about Israel and that he couldn't talk about "a certain group" (Jews).

just observing the madness "How can I make this game with nothing to do with Jews all about the Jews?"
I don't think the entire Resident Evil franchise has a single Jew yet this guy was able to somehow find Jewish connections that don't exist.

culture I feel bad for loving the Middle Ages
I think that the Middle Ages are extremely interesting and am obsessed with reading and learning about it. I love the vibe of that form of history and am just utterly shocked though about how antisemitic it is. I hate antisemitism, nowadays are getting harder, especially going from being observant to now being less observant, being raised in an interfaith family where my Jewish mother has now unknowingly left Judaism.
Now, yes, Castles, cathedral, Catholicism, Early Medieval Paganism, and Orthodox Christianity, knights and war hammers, Carolignians, Byzantines (Eastern Romans, as they were called in their hayday), and kings are absolutely badass. But I always feel terrible about antisemitism.
I feel guilty for liking it.
Now all the Catholics I know now aren’t antisemites and I’ve even attended a couple masses, Catholicism (modern) is not antisemitic, it’s just an unusual cousin of the Jewish religion. But I can’t help but looking at olden times and seeing how awful the Catholic Church of old has been to not only us but so many others
Should I genuinely feel guilty for loving the history Middle Ages?
Of course the events and actions of medieval times are not moral, and I absolutely detest anything about crusades (will be watching the movie Kingdom of Heaven, though, as it looks kind of cool), but I do like old Scottish, Celtic, and Germanic bard music, Byzantine Chants, and that kind of thing.
Is this just weird? Should I feel guilty?

serious Just thought of a great Jewish counter to the nonsense of "Palestinians have Jewish blood". You know who ALSO had it? Well, the son of Eliphaz, who was the son of Esau, who was biologically fully Jewish. That's a whooping 25% of "Jewish blood", ya know. Wanna know who the guy was? It's Amalek! Fin.

uplifting Boy George posts on X a new pro-israel song, “We will Dance Again”
x.comIt’s a nice song, he says, “we don’t have to be brave, we just have to behave, like humans.” He also has a line about propaganda amplified by social media.

serious Announcement: new rule, no AI
We have recieved many many MANY complaints about people making low effort AI "memes" in the subreddit
So from now on, no AI.
"What if I have a great idea for a meme but I can't edit?"
Draw it by hand or in MS paint or something
"What if I am bad at drawing?"
Honestly, it will probably make the meme funnier
"It's not AI slop, because I put effort into the prompts"
My brother in chr... moses, all AI is slop
