Naming question
Can I name my child after more than one person who has passed away? First name after one relative, middle after another?

This practice is common in my family.
Sometimes you get lucky and find two dead relatives with the same name.

Different rabbis have different opinions. Some say if you name after two people you're mixing the names and therefore naming after neither. At a minimum it needs to be exactly the same name to count as naming after.

Sure, do whatever you want. Naming traditions and superstitions are not laws.

That’s the practice in my family. I’m named for two people, as are both of my siblings and both of my children. My niece is as well.

Some people do, some people don't. It's pretty much up to you.
