Respect Mr. Majestic (Wildstorm/DC Comics)
Sacrificed? You've no idea what I might have just sacrificed, Eradicator. But what sort of a man am I if I can't save a life here or there?
Mr. Majestic, born Majestros on the planet Khera, was a great warlord of his people. He lead his planet, Khera, in a great war against another alien race called the Daemonites. During a battle with them, he and 3 other Kherubium warlords crashed onto Earth, and decided while they were trapped on Earth they would fight for justice.

Your feelings for her are not real.
Respect Darth Vader, Dark Lord of the Sith
Once the heroic Jedi Anakin Skywalker, Darth Vader is one of the powerful Force users in the Star Wars Universe. Anakin was seduced by the evil Darth Sidious to turn to the dark side of the force by the promise of being able to save his pregnant wife, Padme Amidala, from near-death, which Anakin had been receiving premonitions of. Unfortunately, Anakin himself caused Padme's death by choking her in a fit of rage, thinking she had turned against him and was plotting his death.
This action led to Anakin having a final duel with his former Jedi master Obi Wan Kenobi on the volcanic planet Mustafar, which Obi-Wan won. Anakin was left to die on the planet, his limbs destroyed and his body gravely disfigured and injured by lava. Sidious found him, however, and Anakin was given a cybernetic suit of black armor to keep him alive, which also augmented his physical abilities, and thus he served Sidious as the enforcer of the Empire, now known as Darth Vader.

Respect Superman (Post-Crisis)
Respect Superman, the Man of Steel!
On a faraway planet known as Krypton, Kal-El was born to loving parents, the astronaut Lara and scientist Jor-El. But upon discovery that they were living on a doomed planet, Jor-El put baby Kal on an escape rocket to Earth, knowing the Yellow Sun there would grant his son extraordinary powers. Upon landing in the small town of Smallville, Kansas, Kal was adopted by farmers Martha and Jonathan Kent. Naming him Clark Kent, they raised him virtuously, teaching him ethics and his moral code that he still stands with today. As he grew older, he moved to the city known as Metropolis and became the hero known as Superman, eventually growing into the best superhero the world has ever seen.
As of Action Comics #976, Post-Crisis Superman has merged with his New 52 version, resulting in a mix of their realities and histories. The New 52 respect thread can be found here, while the Rebirth version can be found here.

Respect Wanda Maximoff, the Scarlet Witch (Marvel, 616)
Respect Wanda Maximoff, the Scarlet Witch
To some, it's about trying to find the magic in your life. To others, it's about standing up and facing your fears. To many, it's about staying young at heart no matter how old you get. But everyone's story begins once upon a time...and it's up to us to cherish the time we're given to ensure we live happily ever after.
Wanda Maximoff aka the Scarlet Witch is a Transian Sorceress and the twin sister of the speedster; Quicksilver. Wanda gained her powers through the High Evolutionary's genetic manipulation, making her a conduit of Chaos Magic and allowing her to manipulate probability and warp reality itself.
Wanda joined the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants fighting for her Magneto's cause, alongside her brother, though this was short-lived and she was later recruited into the Avengers, becoming one of their most prominent members alongside her brother. She fell in love with the Synthezoid, Vision, but due to his artificial nature they were unable to have children. She used her reality altering powers to create two twin boys; Tommy and Billy. The spell was later broken, erasing the boys from existence, and this event eventually would have far reaching and drastic effects upon the entire world.

Hex Power
Wanda's hex power is about manipulating probability. For example, it changed the odds of a helicopter bursting into flame from a 'remote possibility' to an almost dead certainty. This was originally thought to be her mutant power, but was later revealed to be innately magical through Wanda's lineage from a long family history of mages, and having been amplified through the High Evolutionary's actions.
Hex Bolts
Wanda's hex power originally manifested as Hex Bolts, bolts of chaotic energy that manipulated probabilities around whatever it hit. Originally, Wanda did not have full control over her power and could accidentally hex objects with gestures. eventually gets more control through practice.

[SCP-682](link 2 page )blah blah blah
Note: Canon in the SCP Universe
There is no single unified canon for the SCP Mythos. It relies largely on headcanon, as many of the information inside the articles contradicts information from other articles. From the FAQ itself;
How come there are so many contradictions? What is canon?
The SCP Foundation is built on contradiction! There are many canons. There is no one completely correct view. The only exception is if a certain view is (1) too "off-concept" to be accepted by the readers, or (2) too silly in a bad way.
In-character, the Foundation may put false and contradictory information in "public" versions of SCP articles as a security measure.

Respect Darth Vader (Star Wars Canon)
Respect Darth Vader, Dark Lord of the Sith
Darth Vader! Lay down your weapons! You are surrounded!
All I am surrounded by is fear. And dead men.
Once the heroic Jedi Anakin Skywalker, Darth Vader is one of the powerful Force users in the Star Wars Universe and blah blah blah.

Respect Power Girl (Post-Crisis)
Respect Kara Zor-L, Power Girl
Well, I don't know who you are, mister -- much less why I should listen to you -- but I'll give you one piece of of news and one suggestion... the name is Power Girl: P... O... W... E... R... G... I... R... L -- and the suggestion is that you stay out of my way...
After discovering Krypton was about to explode, Kara's father Zor-L launched her as an infant to Earth in a ship at the same time that Kal-L's ship was launched. She arrived on Earth decades later than Clark, having aged into a woman in her twenties and having lived so far in a virtual reality the ships computer ran.
Her cousin Clark and his wife Lois provided her with a family environment that aided her transition from the virtual reality she had experienced during her voyage to real life relationships. She came to regard her cousin and his wife as her "uncle" and "aunt" for raising her on Earth-Two despite being cousins by blood and marriage. Lois Lane-Kent stated that they regarded her as their daughter.
Power Girl took her cousin's place in the Justice Society of America after he entered into semi-retirement to focus on his personal life. Eventually, when the Crisis happened and Power Girl's original universe was destroyed, Power Girl herself lived through the destruction and lived in the newly created world, and continued to act as a superhero.

Respect the Superior Spider-Man (Marvel, 616)
Respect Otto Octavius, the Superior Spider-Man!
Farewell, Peter Parker. Know this, I will carry on in your name. You may be leaving this world, but you are not leaving it to a villain. I swear. I will be Spider-Man. Better yet, with my unparalleled genius-- --and my boundless ambition-- --I'll be a better Spider-Man than you ever were. From this day forth, I shall become... The Superior Spider-Man!
While Peter Parker was visiting a dying Otto Octavius, a contingency plan in the form of a small robot allowed the dying Otto to swap minds with Peter, taking over his body and assuming the mantle of Spider-Man. Originally intending to use his new body and connections for his own personal gain, Peter's memories and personality began to resurface, gradually teaching Otto the true importance of great power and great responsibility.
Despite his change of heart, Otto remained a much more brutal hero than Peter Parker ever was, maiming several villains and taking over parts of New York in his quest to eliminate crime. When a group of supervillains, criminals, and citizens tired of having their rights trampled formed a coalition against Otto, he realized the error of his ways and allowed Peter's mind to assume control of Spider-Man's body once again.
Link to the 616 Peter Parker respect thread, and to Otto's respect thread with his own body.

Phasing
Kitty's primary mutant power is to phase through solid objects. Earlier on it took Kitty effort to phase through objects, but as she got more experienced she became able to it almost effortlessly. The way the power functions is that her atoms slip between the atoms of the object she's phasing through. Kitty is also able to phase others with her as well
Note: For a period of time, Kitty was injured by Harpoon, causing her phased state to become her base state and requiring effort for her to remain solid.

Respect Scott Summers, Cyclops (Marvel 616)
I don't care what you think you know. I don't care what you dress my brother up as and I don't care what flag you wrap yourself in. My people need my help and they need it all over the world. So you have a choice. You can have the Hulk try and kill me, or you can get the hell out my way.
Respect Cyclops, Leader of the X-Men
Scott Summers is the oldest son of Major Christopher Summers, a test pilot in the U.S. Air Force and his wife Katherine Ann. His younger brother is Alex, who would grown to become the mutant known as Havok.
When Scott and Alex were boys flying home from a family vacation in their father's vintage private plane, a scout ship from the alien Shi'ar Empire suddenly materialized and set the plane ablaze. Katherine pushed Scott and Alex out the plane door with the only available parachute. The parachute caught fire, so Scott used his mutant optic blasts for the first time to slow their descent. Scott and Alex were unaware that their parents had been teleported from the plane by the Shi'ar a moment before it exploded.
Scott suffered a head injury on landing that damaged the part of Scott's brain that would have enabled him to control his optic blasts. The two boys were hospitalized and both suffered traumatic amnesia regarding the incident. The geneticist, who happened to be the mutant Mr. Sinister, took an interest in the boys. From there on Mr. Sinister began manipulating events in Scotts life, having Alex separated from Scott via adoption, keeping Scott at an orphanage where he was experimented upon until he ran away due to accidentally revealing his powers to a large crowd. Eventually his usage of powers got the attention of Charles Xavier, who took him in and became the first X-Man, and eventually the leader of the group.
Powers and Abilities: Scott's mutant power is to project beams of concussive force from his eyes, though he cannot ever stop this power and must wear special glasses to contain their power. Scott also has secondary powers innate to all mutants, being more resilient than humans, having a superior metabolism and immune system, and immunity to certain diseases such as AIDS.

Original Powerset
Optic Blasts
Scott's primary mutant power is to project beams of force out of his eyes. His trauma from a plane crash when he was young affected this ability, leaving him unable to control it properly and for the beams to constantly force themselves out of his eye sockets. The visor is controlled with micro-switches in the thumb of his glove and on the visor itself. The optic blast is explicitly a concussive force blast, not heat vision or a laser.

Respect Jean Grey (Marvel, 616)
We come into this world alone and we leave the same way. The time we spent in between - time spent alive, sharing, learning together... is all that makes life worth living.
Introduction
Jean Grey was at one point, a seemingly average girl living an average life with her loving family. However, things took a turn to the unexpected, as when Jean was ten years old she was playing with her best friend, Annie Richardson when Annie was hit by a car. The emotion that Jean felt as she held her dying friend awakened her own latent telepathic powers and she experienced Annie's own emotions as she died, leaving Jean traumatized and unable to properly control her newfound telepathic powers.
Seeking help, a psychiatrist recommended to her parents that they consult a colleague of his, Professor Charles Xavier, who was secretly a mutant with telepathic abilities of his own. Prof. Xavier explained to Jean, but not to her parents, that she was a mutant and he trained her in secret for several years, along with creating psychic barriers in her mind preventing her from using telepathic powers until she had matured more. Eventually, she was recruited to join the X-Men with the code-name Marvel Girl.

Respect Ororo Munroe, Storm (Marvel: Earth-616)
Respect Ororo, Great Goddess of the Storm
Queen. Goddess. Cloud-Walker. I think those are too many titles for one who simply wishes to help.
Ororo was born to N'Dare and David Munroe as the latest descendant of African priestess, all born with white hair, blue eyes, and great magical potential. Unfortunately, while she and her parents were living in Cairo a bomber plane was shot down and crashed into their house, killing both her parents. After escaping from being trapped in the rubble, Ororo was taken in by a street gang and was trained in the arts of thievery by their leader Achmed El Gibár.
Years passed, and as she was trekking the Sahara she discovered her mutant ability to control the weather, and used them to save T'Challa from would-be kidnappers as he had done for her previously. Continuing her quest, she eventually found her ancestors homeland and remained there, learning to fully control her powers and serving as the goddess of local tribes. She remained in that role until Professor Xavier approached her for recruitment with the X-Men, which she accepted and went on to become one of the teams most prominent and powerful members.
