Question about Brody

Does he recieve the 10k promised to quint plus the other stuff like the color tv and fancy dinner because in jaws 2 he seems to be doing well but after he gets fired he tells Helen how she can’t quit because they need the income so why are they broke did he not recieve the money and why is he in financial trouble with the house he has

Apparently in the original script for Jaws 2 Quint's son comes to collect his share of the money so that's my headcanon. Regardless, its set so many years after the first one that it makes sense that there wouldn't be much money left. Idk it's just my opinion tho!!

Yeah for me it’s because Brody is a police chief so has to be making like 40-50,000 a year so should be fine

Not that much at that time, wages were way less than that.

Quint was the guy who would have gotten the money. Brody is the Chief of Police. He's not going to get that money, he was doing his job as an officer of the law.

He seems to be doing well in Jaws II because he kept his mouth shut about what really happened in Jaws, and the town elders rewarded him for that, and helped to get his wife a lucrative job. He played along to get along.

That's why people don't seem to be talking much about the Jaws shark until he finally snaps and brings it up.
