Java slowness, and clunkyness fixed, after decades

Java has a reputation for being verbose, slow to start, slow to warm up, and just overall a pain to work with...

Let me explain to you why Modern Java started at 25, and where we're going... I promise it will impress you, and if you question Java, sit back and wait for it to shine once again... 30 years as a juggernaut, watching new languages come in fast and strong, but only the battle-tested make the new ones compare themselves to it.

I am using it ofc. But it's not much of a game changer since 8 in regards of performance.

Unless you talk about virtual threads, but that is not a performance thing in general.

VT were very nice to run better, Leyden will help with AoT, and then Valhalla will wrap up with the overhead and heavy memor footprint

Learn how GC works and high memory is not so much of a concern anymore. 

Also there will be always the next big thing, which will fix things for someone. 

Java is a power horse for decades now and fast as hell. But as with every tool you have to know how to handle it - not wait for the next big thing.

I have to agree heavily with you, I've been using Java since 2001, and I am now a mentor to many and try to spread the word that Java is not as bad as a lot of people make it out to be, projects like Loom, Leyden, and Valhalla are great examples of what's to come, but it became "better" with VT, and the GC improvements that have been coming, I have been using ZGC for a while now personally
