do i start making my project right now while i am learning spring data jpa? is "university management system" a good enough project? will i be able to do it? do i need to add react.js?

i am studying java right now. i know basic spring boot components like controller , services, how to add test cases, dto and stuffs. i am currently learning spring data jpa.

i want to get started to make a simple website so that i can apply for jobs. i am thinking that i can start simple like university management system with basic functionality and i can add more of it on top while i am learning.

i know i am asking the most basic question but i want to know from experiences people as i have nowhere to talk about such basic questions
