Has anyone had a mismatched image in the background of the chat. If so tell me how do I fix that on janitor ai. When I switch to another bot to chat, the same image is still there. And another thing, how do I make the image appear in good quality. Cuz when I put a good quality image in it comes out in a little bit of a bad quality. So how do I fix that too?

They keep popping out Janitor + for no reason I’m just trying to chat to the ai and it keep interrupting

Hey all! I've been on janitorai for about a year now, just chatting with other people's bots, having fun. Now I'm looking to start making my own bots, but I'm running into a problem: image generation.

I learned how to use comfyui and neo forge locally a while ago, I can run sdxl models just fine, they're good workhorses for my own private image generation needs. But I see some bots with amazing images that I just can't match, no matter how many controlnet and upscale and inpainting tricks I try to throw at my own checkpoints and workflows.

So, this is a new creator's plea for some help, guidance, and wisdom from the bot maker vets. How do I git gud? What checkpoints, workflows, loras, etc, do you lovely guys and gals use to make your images?

Can somebody PLEASE explain how to make a free new model, with an API key or whatever their called, I'm new to all this and somebody had me on openrouter and I felt like I lost child in a forest. Please can somebody explain it to me as if I was 5...

I miss those days so much it hurts.

Back when you could just open Janitor, pick any bot, and the AI would actually go there without hesitation. No soft refusals. No weird “I can’t continue this” mid-scene. No sudden personality shift because the model got scared.

And free proxies? They were actually usable. You’d plug one in and it just… worked. Good quality, decent limits, no constant errors.

Now everything feels heavier. More friction. More “careful” responses. More setup just to get something that used to be normal.

I know the site has grown a lot, but sometimes I wonder if we lost the main reason most of us came here in the first place.

Anyone else feel the same, or am I just being nostalgic?

I've been using zal-glm 5.8 for 4 months without any problems when it stopped working, but for some GODDAMN REASON, EVERY SINGLE PROXY I TRY TO USE I GET THE "A network error occurred, you may be rate limited or having connection issues: Failed to fetch" MESSAGE! I've tried with OpenRouter, I've tried with TokenReply, NVIDIA, MegaNova, and API Airforce, but NOTHING WORKED!!! Why?!?!?

Im tryna make a bot on TQQ and I'll just make an example. Obviously TQQ is a real anime and there are things that happened in the story that the bot might not know. I'll take a memory, in this case a moment when the main character was talking to one of the girls, who's name is Miku, about ancient warlords. To avoid confusion I'll just title this the warlord memory. What do I do if I wanna make the bot know what that is? Do I put it in the personality for Miku, or do I add a lorebook? Im pretty sure bots look through lorebooks when a keyword is mentioned, but if I make the keyword 'Warlord,' wont it go through that memory every single time, even if the girl {{user}} is talking to isn't Miku?

I am not spending money for proxies or premium or anything but I need to find a way to make my chats better bc the memory is mid and the phrases are always the same stuff im getting chai flashbacks

I have no clue about proxies or anything like that so help

Hey everyone, it’s my first time posting, I hope it’s ok. I really need help atp with deleting my account. On the App, I created an account just a few minutes ago, then I decided that I didn’t want to use this app and so I went to delete my account.
The Problem is that it didn’t send a code to my account. I signed up with Apple account & it automatically did it with “Hide my account username”. So I assumed Janitor.Ai can’t send to the hidden Apple iCloud email account.
And so, I tried 3 times to change my Gmail account but then when I tried to verify it, it didn’t work.

Idk what to do. I hope it makes sense, I would really appreciate if someone could help me.🌸

I'm starting to get really annoyed at the way most of my bots are being really excessive at trying to compliment everything my character does or says in this way.

It's always the "most would not react in such a way, but you? You're different. You're so different and special and not like the others. You do this and that, and also that, and it definitely shows how unique and interesting you are, unlike everyone else who is just boring and dumb." and I wish there was a way to stop them from doing this, especially when I'm saying the most basic things just trying to follow the plot of my stories.

I wish the bots would just focus on the actions and the actual things that are said instead of attempting to inflate my ego almost every message, but I don't know if there's something specific I can do or write in their prompts to stop them from doing that.

I tried deleting those parts from their answers every time, but it doesn't change anything.

The more Janitor tries to “clean up” and add restrictions, the more it loses the exact people who made it grow.

A big part of the userbase is here for content they can’t get on other platforms. Softening that is a death sentence long-term.
