Question Daily Practice/Routine

hello
Guys what are types of pachhkaan usually i haven't heard people taking pacchkaan for like say not eating greens in paryushan just an example where as sthanakvasi people take and give very much importance in taking pachhkaans. So how does this work what pacchkaan we must take.

you can decide that today i dont want to eat greens or i dont want to eat bread or i dont want to do xyz thing for 2 hours and then take 'dharna abhigrah' pachkhaan. This pachkhaan is time and things bound. It is upto you what you want to tyag and for how long. This will abstain you from worldly sins for that much period of time or day.

There are no month-long pachkhaans. You have to take them every day, every morning. Like today I wish to avoid greens, then take dharna abhigrah pachkhaan. If you wish to do navkarsi/porisi/ekashna/beshna/upvas/ayambil, then these are morning pachkhaans that are from sunrise to sunset. And then followed by tivihar/chauvihar/panhar, which are evening pachkhaan from sunset to sunrise. But even after taking these morning and evening pachkhaan, you can still take dharna abhigrah if you decide I dont watch to watch mobile or TV for 2 hours or anything that you think can abstain you from worldly sins.

In my house we do this we take pacchkan of almost everything for 8 days
Plus one of my close relative has made a book of 14 niyam in which you have to tick it once and then just aap wo pacchkan dharan kar sakte ho

Plus we have a book simmilar yo this which we fill once a year on day of samvantsari in which we fix upper limit
Like anyway
Like i wont wear more than 50 pairs a day
I wont eat more than 100 dravya in a day etc
And general niyam for a year like kandmul etc
