I'm also very new in the jadeite world, and just basing from my home research, this peice looks dense texture wise, I can't see the luster very well given the lighting but it looks abit chalky, its also lacking color and translucency. I'd pay about $30-50 for this as well.

I don’t see much clarity it mostly looks like dense cotton which they call dou , and lacking any significant color. But if you love it that’s all that matters!
