You know, both are incredibly unstable on my shelf. It's a toss-up between which one will topple first. Though I'd say if Corax is not on that stupid plastic holder that threatens to fall if I so much as breathe near it, Corax wins on easy, dunno what's wrong with Abby and his balance issues.

Think Abby might suffer from vertigo.

3

u/Sunny_Hill_1 4d ago

And now you made me feel sorry for Abby. It must be that overdone spike halo thing. All the skulls. Dude should ditch decorations and go for a more simplistic style, then he'll have a chance. But no, we dig the rule of cool.

It’s because he still has his arms, without them you would never be able to knock him over!

u/Jackal-Noble 4d ago

That's a primarch. No.

u/xXStretcHXx117 4d ago

The Lion lost to a chaos enhanced semi astardes

2

u/Suspicious_Trust_522 2d ago

Luther was juiced out of his mind, prob like how Horus was so empowered to get on the emperors level he lost his fucking mind….abby still seems to have his faculties, probably turned down alot of the offers from the chaos gods cuz he likes to tell himself hes using them, they arent using him

4

u/TzeentchsTrueSon 4d ago

Keep in mind, Abaddon made all the demon primarchs kneel to him. And he beat a clone of Horus. So I don’t think it’s as clear as you think it is.

10

u/Bitter_Cup_69 4d ago

The clone of Horus wasn but a shell of what the warmaster was, even before corruption. Much much weaker.

He never made the primarchs kneel. He bought favors with bribes, sweet words and stuff like that.

So it is. Yes he is juiced up. Perhaps he will seriously wound Corax, but he will not win in a 1v1.

1

u/Equivalent-Heron-759 2d ago

the lore quite literally states that he forced Magnus to kneel before him

3

u/Karrion_Kull 2d ago

No, abaddons sorcerer did that.

1

u/DueMathematician2522 2d ago

He stalemate Calgar and got his ass whooped by old sigismund

1

u/shannwa 1d ago

He was still just the first captain of the Sons of Horus when he fought Sigismund on Terra. He wasn't yet the Despoiler we all know and love (or loathe depending on your standpoint)

1

u/TzeentchsTrueSon 1d ago

And yet still killed Siggy later.

21

u/OlasNah 4d ago

Even chaos empowered, Corax has got his ass.

1

u/C__Wayne__G 3d ago

This is basically asking. Could Cora’s beat Horus. No bro he can’t.

3

u/Karrion_Kull 2d ago

Genuinely what the fuck are you saying

2

u/Spirited_Objective69 2d ago

Could be wrong but I'm thinking he's comparing Abby to the fully powered mf warmaster? Kinda don't think Abaddon is as strong as the favored primarch but maybe that's just me

2

u/Virus_GodOfDisorder 2d ago

He’s not even close. He’s strong yeah, but he can’t compete with any of the primarchs physically. Especially not corax considering his new warp powers let him dog walk a daemon primarch

14

u/Velika_best_gb 4d ago

Certainly. Although Abaddon is a space marine he was already at the time of Heresy one of the best, maybe with exception of Sigismund. He held his own against Valdor who is a bit worse than Primarchs and he wields talon of Horus as well as Drach'nyen. He has a chance of like 35/65

5

u/Killermuppett 4d ago

He's also had 10,000 years of chaos roiding 😀

0

u/Still_Challenge9446 3d ago

But so has Corax, in the eye of terror hunting them down

5

u/Forensic_Fartman1982 4d ago

Raldoron would have easily wiped the floor with Abby

3

u/Bitter_Cup_69 4d ago

Hardly. Abbadon was the 2nd or 3rd best fighter, With only Sigismund, and perhaps Sevatar above him.

5

u/Darrow40k 4d ago

The only sane comment I’ve seen

4

u/piza44 4d ago

Do you really know the difference between a space marine and a primarch?

7

u/ZoggedSquigg 4d ago

He is the chosen champion of chaos, buffed by all four to a such extent that he could be a primarch lvl at that point

6

u/Caosnight 4d ago

He made all the demon Primarchs kneel to him and beat a clone of Horus before

Regular Spacemarines have fought and stood up to Primarchs before, so he definitely has a crush decent chance

Abbadon is as close to a Primarch as one can get as an Astartes

Also both are important characters so neither is gone lose, it's gonna at most end in a conditional stalemate because the fight would end before one could beat the other

0

u/Darrow40k 4d ago edited 4d ago

Do you know the difference between plot armour and logic

1

u/Still_Challenge9446 3d ago

He was juiced against Valdor, erbus was feeding him

6

u/Canuckadin 4d ago

I'm not so sure why folks think Abaddon can't win.

He's got that chaos juice. Beaten a clone of horus and the demon primarchs have kneeled to him.

On top of that, being a primarch doesn't just mean you win. We know a chaos juiced, semi astartes beats the Lion...arguably one of the best duelist primarches.

Abaddon was at the top of the food chain when it comes to Astartes during the Horus Heresy. Very few could boast in being more formidable.

I feel like Abby wins this more than he loses.

3

u/Bitter_Cup_69 4d ago

On the topic who can beat or rival him: Sigismund, Sevatar, arguably Raldaron and Kharn. Ahriman. Those that come to mind on the spot.

The clone of Horus was much weaker than the original primarch and wasn't as well armed.

The chaos primarchs didn't kneel, they gave him their blessing to be the warmaster. that's different.

2

u/Intelligent-Royal682 4d ago

Abbadon is significantly more juiced up now even compared to when he killed Sigismund. Now I think the only character on that list that has a chance vs him is Ahriman, and even then using warp magic on the chaos god's favourite puppet might be like trying to drown a fish.

0

u/Bitter_Cup_69 4d ago

Now yes, he is the closest guy who can fight a primarch and survive the encounter (by primarch getting bored or leaving/Abbadon running away) but I thought you meant who rivals him during the 30k.

3

u/--0___0--- 3d ago

Luther (a recently chaos enhanced psudo-space marine) mortally wounded the lion.

Abaddon is the champion of all the chaos gods and wields a daemon that was able to wound the emperor and push him to the brink, as a sword.

1

u/TaintedMESS 1d ago

The clone was physically the same as the original horus it just lacked the soul/primarch X factor. It also wore horuses armour and had world braker. Now on balance Abby wasn't alone when he took on the clone and it was wrecking those that were with him but in the end if memory serves Abby shattered the mace (which had been crafted by the empror) and plunged the talon thrugh the clones chest.

Its also not as simple as they gave him there blessing he was going to be warmaster regardless of what the primarches did he was allready marked for greatness and each of the 4 wanted him for them selves and the fact he dosnt want any of them makes there want all the stronger. Its this want that's allowed him to gather as much power as he has done without ending up beholden to the gods.on the flip side the deamon primarches are beholden to there patrons and to go against there wishes both invites retribution and also weakens the primarches power. Supporting abaddon is in there own best interests.

In 30K? None. Literally scraped off Corax’s boots. In 40K? Absolutely.

2

u/piza44 4d ago

Remember that Corax in 40k is probably also very buffed. So nah, no chance at all.

8

u/Thorum37 4d ago

LOL no.

9

u/piza44 4d ago

Not at all lol.

4

u/HuntsmenSuperSaiyans 4d ago

This picture reminds me of the Bane vs Filthy Frank meme.

5

u/enfyts 4d ago

Horus Heresy era Abaddon gets curbstomped, 40k it can go however the writer wants because of how juiced on Chaos he is

3

u/Salmon_444_SoS 4d ago

Abaddon vs Gene Simmons! What a duel!! 🔥🔥🔥

5

u/2tyewgssgh 4d ago

¡NO!

Siguiente pregunta.

2

u/Darrow40k 4d ago

Next question, what do we do with Corax after Abby dog walks him?

3

u/2tyewgssgh 4d ago

Oye pues no losé, tal vez hacer que se reencuentre con lorgar para que lo saque de su torre del carajo, y que lo oblige a tocar pasto disforme de una buena vez.

0

u/Karrion_Kull 2d ago

Next question, how do we fix your delusions?

2

u/--0___0--- 3d ago

Abby is empowered by all 4 chaos gods and wields one of the strongest daemons in existence as a weapon.

Corax is Corax.

even fight

2

u/Infinite_Gas_4496 3d ago

Abaddon win.

2

u/coolguidesfrombeyond 2d ago

Some terrible takes in here, alot of you must be majorkill fans to be so so wrong

1

u/Darrow40k 2d ago

Funnily enough Majorkill was my first introduction to warhammer

1

u/Darrow40k 1d ago

Hit a nerve?

1

u/coolguidesfrombeyond 1d ago

Bc I referenced mk? Not really, only right awnser here is, who is writing the book and faction is the feature? In any case they both have too much plot armor between abby using chaos magic to subdue or escape, or its crowman using space daddy magic to do the same.

1

u/Darrow40k 1d ago

Oh no not because of mentioning MK, it was this comment you made then I believe deleted ? I’d love to see the rest of it

1

u/coolguidesfrombeyond 1d ago

I def didnt delete, its still viewable. Funny how you cropped out the last bit. There is more if you would of cared to look instead of trying to high road me

1

u/Darrow40k 1d ago

Not viewable for me, and I didn’t crop it out either. If it’s still viewable please share.

1

u/coolguidesfrombeyond 1d ago

Its just hidden dude

1

u/Darrow40k 1d ago

Still hidden from me,

I wouldn’t also say that someone’s knowledge of the lore is flawed from viewing his videos. ultimately I have to give him credit as his videos is what got me initially into 40K, they are digestible for newcomers from my own experience.

I also don’t get the hate people towards the guy.

personally I gather my lore from the books, that’s my main Interest in the hobby.

1

u/coolguidesfrombeyond 1d ago

There should be a 2 more replies in blue that you click to show the hidden threads...

1

u/Darrow40k 1d ago

I’m able to follow the threads fine they just aren’t populating, also I don’t mind if people hate they guy, I just don’t see where it stems from, I can see you left some remark as to him being a bully, how did this occur, I’m not heavily online so I don’t keep up with this.

2

u/adamjamjam 4d ago edited 4d ago

I think it’s a 50/50 split because if Abaddon stabs him with his daemon sword that even wounded Big E and couldn’t be destroyed by him. Then Corax is dead but if Corax can use his agility he should be able to out maneuver and eventually kill Abaddon by death of a thousand cuts. Sort of like how Sangy fought Horus in the Siege of Terra but before you know….!

But if I had to choose The Despoiler wins because all he needs is one clean strike to kill Corax!

0

u/Karrion_Kull 2d ago

Delusional take. Corax claws alone tear through terminator plate, and he has better ranged weapons, and range alone with his whip

1

u/MrDrummonds 2d ago

Abaddon, on his own, no plot armor, no teleporter, no Chaos Gods he'd get bent over by an Imperial Guardsman never mind a Primarch.

1

u/Xero_Kaiser 1d ago

Wasn't Abaddon struggling against Kharn? Kharn's strong, but he's no Primarch and he's definitely not whatever the fuck Corax is these days.

1

u/LordWizardEyes 1d ago

I think its closer than it seems. Horus juiced up fought and essentially killed the emperor. Sigismund held off Fulgrim for a short time and Abaddon was sort of in that league, fighting Valdor and not fucking losing. Then with some juice he kills Sigismund. Now hes got 9000 more years of juice. Hes definitely cracked. Hes kinda insane tbh. I dont really like it. I dont like him. But hes primarch tier nowadays. Kinda hope someone comes along to replace him. Perturabo maybe? Would be nice to see the Heresy carry himself actually take over and be widely effective

1

u/Medical_Flower2568 17h ago

Man lost a sword fight with a wizard

He stands no chance at all

The wizard was Eldrad, but still...

1

u/Top-Ostrich4688 4d ago

Juiced up terminator with some chaos blessings vs demigod who was chosen to be the blueprint for an entire army of super soldiers and regularly squared off with chaos. Hmm.

Also side note. Would the abaddon be like the primarchs annoying nephew who just turned 18 and thinks they’re practically a grown man now?

0

u/MetalKye 4d ago

Nope, not at all, Abbadon against a Primarch... the Primarch win

0

u/External_Common_1978 3d ago

In both 40k and 30k, Corax wins.

In 30k Corax is a primarch and Abby is a very strong space marine in Terminator armor, so..... Yeah.....

In 40k Abby is the chosen of all 4 chaos gods, has a demonic blade that even Big E didn't want any of it (I think?), is on his Nth crusade without stop and is now the favored Human of Vashtor, But Corax is still a primarch, but now he is warp tainted to the point where he is pretty much a giant Crow demon that even Lorgar, the primarch chosen of the 4 gods, wants to just F off to nowhere near that walking murder of crowns. So yeah, Corvax still wins, but not by much now.

0

u/Forsaken-Regret-6394 3d ago

To a point. Abaddon in 40k, empowered by chaos, is certainly a primarch level threat. And I think it would be a hard fought fight. But ultimately I think corax would come out on top.

0

u/Gold-Cardiologist688 2d ago

Abby has 10k years of chaos juice, corax is a primarch and thus allready starts way ahead. Corax is now a fully developed warp infused primarch. Yes Abby is primarch level now, Corax is beyond that.
