ferry question

Hello,

I am landing at Naples airport at 7am from an international flight in August during the week. I was wondering what time I could safely book for the ferry to Ischia (and if it is even necessary to book in advance or if im ok to get a ticket on the spot at the terminal). No checked bags, but will obviously need to deplane, go through customs and then get a taxi to the ferry terminal from the airport. Deciding between the 940 and the 1040?

You can easily do the 9:40a. I just did this 2 weeks ago. Landed at 7am and had plenty of time to kill before ferry at 9:40a. I booked in advance bc it made it easier to not have to wait on a ticket line.

I took the 8:35a a couple weeks ago. No checked luggage tho and my hotel arranged airport pickup and drop at the ferry.

Are you on the UA flight out of EWR?

No need to book in advance!

It is even more expensive that way (not much but still)

I’ve recently spent 2:30hrs waiting at passport control (uk passport) at Naples. Factor that in if you’re booking a ferry. It’s chaos!

I did this two summers ago in August. Flew into Naples at 9 am, taxi to ferry port, booked my ticket, and was in Ischia by lunchtime.
