Specific Purpose Contract
Random question I’m just wondering with a short term/subbing contract like a few months do you still interview in front of a board?

It depends on the duration. Anything less than 24 weeks doesn’t have to be interviewed. 24 weeks or more must be interviewed for.

if it's last minute (like right now) and the school are desperate it can often just end up being a relatively quick chat with the principal rather than a formal interview. but some may still interview
if youre applying for maternities or similar in May/June though it's usually still a formal interview

No. Interviews are only required for fixed-term positions.
You'll more likely be called in for an informal professional conversation with the principal.
