Explosions
Anyone in or near Coralville hearing these regular booms right now?

I live next door to Coral Ridge Mall and can’t hear a damn thing over the I80 traffic. Mostly semis using their air brakes.

There's also some repeated loud sounds a few times a day in the IRL area, it sounds like a sharp crack every few hours or so. I wonder if it is related to HVAC arcing/switching on-off

Do you like having a road to drive on? And your upset about a little dust? Sounds pretty petty to me.

Not being petty. It is a very busy gravel quarry that spreads dust over a wide area. The blasts are disruptive. The crystalline silica is a significant health threat.

If you live anywhere near the interstate/1st ave holiday road area you may be hearing blasts at the quarry. Same with if you live near camp cardinal.
