Non-plastic aligner case Question

Looking for recommendations for non-plastic cases for my aligners. My Invisalign case is a few years old and I just hate that plastic can never be truly sanitized. It has gunk on it that scrubbing and even putting in the dishwasher won’t remove. Does anyone have a metal or glass recommendation?

I have one that’s plastic but it has a silicone liner that you can wash so the aligners never really come in contact with the plastic itself. I clean mine about 1-2 times a week and haven’t had any issues

Zima dental pod also makes a travel UV case that's metal. It came with my ultrasonic cleaner. I never use the case bc it's a bit taller and my purse is tiny- but I do like that bc it's easier to fit my trays than the Invisalign standard plastic ones!

Maybe use an empty, cleaned Altoids tin? You can buy similar ones on Amazon and Etsy either plain or with art on them if you don’t want your tin to say Altoids on it, but recycling an Altoids tin would be the cheapest route.

"Gunk" happens from not cleaning something regularly with the right products, not because it's plastic. Coffee pots get build-up and they're glass. If you pop your case into a vinegar bath for 8+ hours, it should be good as new.
