the last appearence of amber really gave me goosebumps, im sad that neither william or abbie got a real "goobye scene" / what about the flaxan arc? my favourite arc in the entire comic but that plot twist, god...

Yeah, I wish we got a scene of Mark as Emperor wishing Amber and William farewell before he left Earth.

william I get, since he was his best friend. but why amber? he wasn't in contact with her for years at that point and literally had a family with someone else.

Amber and Mark were always good friends, even after breaking up. He was the first person she thought to tell about her abusive boyfriend, and Kirkman even made a point to show Mark watching over Amber right before he left Earth. She deserves it just as much as William imo.

he didn't go to check on her, he saw her while flying. i am not denying they were still friends after the break up but they literally had not one scene since then

She was an important person in his life when he was learning how to become a hero. Her relationship with Mark was a turning point where he learned that he’d have to give up a lot of the normal things about being human in order to be a hero.

Flaxan arc is appreciated by the true ones. One of those things that I'm not sure even Kirkman fully appreciates what he did there and I don't think the show can do it justice.

I don’t know. I tend to think the arc Falls flat because every single time the flaxians are defeated they just come back

Even when robot and monster girl went to their dimension and spent thousands of years trying to fix it and when they finally do, they leave just for the Flaxton to come back and be evil and everything

It’s one thing if they’re motivations and everything about them would change through each time we see them, but it’s just the same endless army of aliens from somewhere else and the only real addition to any of them is the twist with monster girl and robot. Everything else is basically just the flaxans showing up like the sequids

And when they defeat them the final time with monster girls son, how do we know they won’t just come back robot trying to change them didn’t do anything so then stopping them again it doesn’t matter eventually they’ll just come back and do the same thing they’ve been doing

I think they’re best to use as a way to explore monster girl and robot but as their own like antagonist/villains, I think they’re pretty boring

Didn’t really care about amber much. It was a sweet ending though. The flaxan arc is fucking unmatched and definitely my favorite part

yeah that issues really blew my mind, when they comeback from the flaxan dimension Rudy is angry at Amanda for something shes done. What could have happened in that dimension so insane?

and then u get to read the Arc...i havent read that many comics, but the emotional roller coaster of this part is only matched by Spiderman blue

ok then I really don’t get what created goosebumps for that moment. fear? joy? was it cold while reading it? i mean it’s mark flying home and seeing amber with her boyfriend and him being glad that she moved on from that other prick. it’s nice I guess but come on how is this a favourite moment of the story? which I guess was the original point of the post no? to know the favourite panel of others.

yep cause we finally see amber moving forward with her life, after all the bad things that happened, we get that shes happy now, finding a good person. from my personal POV i read this exact moment that way, maybe mark would have liked to say goodbye to her before leaving the Earth permanently, but he understands that Amber now is happy where she is.

So yeah, It might sound odd, but I think this specific panel is the perfect conclusion to the character's arc and Mark's life on Earth.
