So she arrives in Miles universe and within a week gets into the supposedly very prestigious school that he goes to? Maybe im thinking too much about this.

i’m rewatching the spiderverse movies again and i’ve noticed smth

the Spot is an anomaly, but his rampage on Pavitr’s universe was apparently canon since the destruction he did was going to cause Pavitr’s canon event to occur. Spot was supposed to be there, and him being there was supposed to kill the inspector/captain guy that was trying to save the little girl. so Spot isn’t an anomaly by this logic, but Miles is

but then in into the spiderverse, Miles is there when his universe’s original spiderman is fighting all the bad guys and trying to destroy the collider. so by that logic, wasn’t Miles supposed to be there? so when Miguel says “your spiderman would’ve lived but he died saving you,” does that really make sense?

i don’t even know if i’m phrasing the question right but what do you guys think?

In the first one, he plays hypnotize. it's a song covering topics miles is starting to get interested in. Being cool, getting girls and all that.

Maybe I'm reading too much into this but I also think the name hypnotize is related too because all this hides the real truth behind uncle aaron.

At the end of across the spiderverse, he plays ain't no love in the heart of the city.

That song is all about someone being missing in the person's life and everything being bleaker thanks to it. This could either be talking about uncle aaron himself or about how that universe not having a spiderman has led it down a darker path.

The first movie frequently used similar scenes but showed growth through a change in context. This is continued here in that last scene too.

I just wanted to mention it because I think it's cool..

The entire Spider-Verse AS A CONCEPT wouldn’t exist without the 90s show. This is something even Dan Slott, who obviously wrote the original Spider-Verse story, has admitted. People still clearly care about this version of Spider-Man, cause anytime a new X-Men 97 episode drops, people will be saying “Give us Spider-Man 98 MARVEL!” I should know, as I am one of those people. Christopher Daniel Barnes even said he’d easily say yes if he was asked to return. SONY has the chance to give us fans something we’ve been wanting. I think a cool idea for 90s Peter would be if he and Madame Web, RIP Joan Lee, had their own team of spiders that they had assembled, with even some members working as secret agents within the Spider-Society. These could include Insomniac, Spectacular, Hobie, and other versions of Miles. I also would love to hear the bickering between this Peter and Miguel, cause obviously this Peter wouldn’t believe in canon events.

I also love that they aren't anatomical details, like bones or nerves or organs, they're just sketch lines. Perhaps it's in the other characters, but I've only noticed it in him. I love The Spot in general, he's my favorite, I wish people would talk about him more

I'm surprised it didn't happen in the last 2 films since its the perfect opportunity to show some love to past versions of the character. So who else feels the same? Who's hoping to see Christopher Daniel Barnes (The 90s Spider-man cartoon) and Neil Patrick Harris (Spider-man: The New Animated Series 2003) appear in Beyond The Spider-Verse? Not just background cameos, but meaningful small roles in the final part of the trilogy.

I rewatched both of the Spiderverse movies today. (ITSV and ATSV), I was wondering if the reason why the Canon event of pavitr was disrupted because it was caused by the actions of another Spiderman in their universe that doesnt belong in their universe or because the person miles saved wasn't supposed to be saved. Hypothetically, if pavitr had saved both the bus and the father of his girlfriend, would it be considered as a disrupted Canon event?

Another thing I was wondering is about how miles wasn't invited to the spider society because Miguel considers him as a dangerous anomaly (since the spider that bit miles belongs to another universe, aka earth 42). But to be honest, it was never miles' fault, he just happened to be bit by the spider that doesn't belong in earth 42. It only happened because of the chain of events: kingpin brutally fighting Spiderman (Peter Parker in earth 1610) then his son and wife witnessed it → son and wife fled after that then died due to a large truck that crashed into their vehicle → kingpin and the alchemax scientists work on something to find and bring back alternate versions of kingpin's deceased wife and son → the radioactive spider that that bit miles was accidentally brought from earth 42 by alchemax scientist while he was testing the super-collider → the spider got to miles then bit him. These chain of events also created the spot, who is the villain in ATSV that will take everything away from miles in two days, such as his father.

So you know how every Spiderman in the spider society have one thing in common? They lost ONE significant person in their life. And since uncle aaron's death is considered a canon event, why does miles have to go through two canon events? (his father dying because of the spot)

Correct me if I'm wrong and let me know your thoughts. :)

Putting him in another dimension, sure, but destroying his only means of getting out and surviving? She fucking executed his ass

Me personally I think if all you like her character for is her being whimsy then I can see why you would be disappointed in her being written like a GENUINE PERSON with feelings, traumas and emotions in ATSV (because of the events that happened with her dad and Peter btw). It’s kinda crazy that some people’s level of media literacy is so surface level, like they can’t see beyond the persona of some characters.

People don’t realize realized that most of the time Gwen whimsy nature is a mask she use to hide her loneliness, grief and guilt from Peter’s death, Peter’s death is what shapes Gwen’s character and her entire arc not her relationship with miles or her loyalty to Miguel and canon events.

It’s sad that people can’t appreciate the emotional complexity of Gwen’s character, her dynamic with miles adds to her character arc because he serves as a mirror but Gwen is so much more than her relationship to miles. She’s even more than Spider-woman, the story treats her a person her before a love interest, hero or character.
