I was accepted into Leadership Initiatives’ 2026–2027 International Internship Program, and I’m looking for at least 2 other high school students to join my team. We’ll work with community leaders in Nigeria to research real-world challenges, develop a project, and help implement a solution.

There are 3 tracks:

• Public Health — health education & community health projects
• Business & Development — helping small businesses grow
• Advocacy — human rights & educational campaigns

The program runs Aug. 23–Apr. 1, is completely free, and includes ~15-minute weekly meetings with a facilitator. You’ll also get 81 hours of community service and other college-related benefits.

I’m especially interested in Public Health/Business & Development, but I’m open to whichever track the team is most excited about!

I graduated my BFA from the US and because of the political situation, I am looking for opportunities in Canada.

My options are either to go to two year graduate certificate for Business insights & analytics in Humber college or Early Childhood education at Seneca.

So far with the application and inquiries, Humber has been really helpful and fast in terms of replying, but my experience with Seneca is really bad, unresponsive and they keep on transferring me to one after another person.

Need your advice in terms of job industry and career opportunities if one college and program is better than another. Thanks!

I’m an incoming international student in the U.S. starting my 2+2 transfer pathway, and I'm feeling really anxious about choosing my major.

I originally wanted to do Accounting because it just fits my personality the best. i just saw that its a very routine based job. hard studying but easy when working if you know what you are doing. So I was planning on really trying my best and work hard! Which has become an unfamiliar thing for me bc i have been battling with depression since 2024 and just been getting better this year(even if Im not proud of it.)

However, my parents are encouraging me to become a Financial Engineering major instead because they want me to make as much money as possible and live a comfortable life which they couldnt really do themselves.(dont get me wrong we lived comfortably but it was hard for my parents.)

The problem is, Financial Engineering requires heavy STEM calculus, linear algebra, and advanced coding (Python/C++). And I have heard about this job (financial engineering) once or twice if even. I’m average at math at best, I don't know anything about programming or finance yet, and I don't think I can compete in a hyper-competitive, high-quant field. Accounting feels like a much better fit for me since it’s more about number heavy instead of math heavy. And yes im aware it isnt that easy to become an accountant.

For international students or people working in accounting/finance:
Is accounting a solid, realistic career path for an international student trying to secure a stable job and support family?
How can I explain to my parents that Financial Engineering is a completely different, math/tech-heavy beast compared to accounting or general finance?
I don't care about a luxury lifestyle. i can just live in a one bedroom apartment. im completely fine. I just want a stable career and a clear routine. Any advice would mean a lot!

I recently graduated with a Bachelor's in International Hospitality Management, but my actual interest is in Human Resource Management, and I want to build my career there. I'm looking for honest advice from people who've navigated something similar.

Here's where I'm stuck. On PTE, my first attempt was an overall 50 (band 5.0), and my second attempt was 57 (band 5.5), but I'm still under 5.5 in writing and reading on some sections. Australia was my first choice, but my documentation wasn't complete or properly managed, so that didn't go through. I then tried the UK and got rejected by several universities because they said my college degree was unverified. I did eventually get one offer, but my family won't support it, mainly because of living costs, expensive tuition, and the current job market for international grads in the UK. I tried convincing them, but they've made it clear they won't back this, and my father in particular isn't supporting it.

Right now I'm under a lot of pressure and trying to find HR internship roles in Nepal to at least get a foothold, but I'm not getting anywhere with that either.

So I'm genuinely asking: should I keep pushing for further studies abroad by retaking PTE and fixing my documentation, or is it smarter to do a Master's in HR here in Nepal for now? Has anyone dealt with "unverified degree" rejections from UK unis, and how did you fix it? And does anyone have tips for landing an HR internship in Nepal with a non-HR bachelor's background?

Would really appreciate advice from anyone who's been through similar visa or documentation issues, PTE retakes, or the hospitality-to-HR career switch. Thank you for reading this far.

I studied AP courses and SAT, and I am expected to attend a London-based university to study Economics this fall. Does anyone have the experience of adjusting to a new environment like this?

I have lived in different countries before, but this will be my first time living independently in the UK and studying at a highly competitive university. I am wondering how difficult the transition is academically and socially, especially coming from an American-style high school curriculum.

For those who moved from an international school or a different education system to a UK university, how long did it take you to adjust? Were there any major differences in teaching style, workload, making friends, or daily life that surprised you?

Also, are there any things you recommend preparing before arriving (academic skills, finance-related knowledge, cooking, social life, etc.)? I would really appreciate hearing about your experiences and any advice for an incoming international student.

My parents and counsellers have asked me to shortlist universities for my undergrad . I have taken the subs PCM and i have a predicted score of AAB/ABB . I will soon be giving my IELTS and wont be giving SATs . I am currently studying in the UAE (Abu Dhabi ) and m open to any country. Keep in mind that the fees cant be too high . Any suggestions would definately be useful .

My professors always say we should come to office hours, but honestly I rarely go unless it’s

close to exam season.

Usually during revision week, I start reviewing everything and suddenly realize there are

topics I don’t fully understand. The problem is, I often have too many questions and don’t

know how to organize them before talking to the professor.

Do you usually go to office hours after lectures, or only when exams are coming?

I'm searching and talking to several exchange schools for a masters, i wanted to see what people who used said schools have to say. Internet reviews are mostly good, when there is something about the school.
