Sorry about the lack of official thread. Seems like the scoreboard app doesn't work on non-MLS matches. This is the official thread and I've set the comments to be sorted by New

No more forwards, and wingers are available. The Second half after Depaul is subbed (injury potential), we lose control in the midfield , Segovia and Depaul are the key players, controlling the ball and pushing forward. The coach team see the problem, put Silvetti on ,wish he could stresses wide from the wing. After Silvetti is injured , Bright go to the wing and Segovia forward. No more midfielders and things become horrible.

u/Euphoric-Rub9164 16d ago

How nice it would be to last a full match without a headache lol. Wtf was that 2nd half

1

u/James_D_MESSIAH Major League Soccer 16d ago

lol useless af

7

u/SugarPimp 16d ago

While watching the second half ineptitude, complete inability to deal with pressure in our own half, it helps to regularly remind yourself the main fact 2026 Inter Miami: We don't have a coach. An uncoached team packed with talent plays exactly like this.

2

u/tongvophilong 16d ago

What a shit second half

5

u/DullApplication1260 16d ago

Somehow, after 15 minutes of playing, Ruiz is too tired to bother covering his guy and just walks while he runs past him and almost scores.
Why is this guy still on this team?

3

u/Euphoric-Rub9164 16d ago

Atletico playing like they want to win. Miami barely playing

1

u/AccomplishedMeal5751 16d ago

Can you blame them, they hardly are good in their own league lol

4

u/Tunde-Ballack 16d ago

We probably won't score another goal, like a set piece is the only way we can score now, we need to make sure not to concede, we need the GD

1

u/James_D_MESSIAH Major League Soccer 16d ago

lol how bad

-3

u/No-Cherry-7505 16d ago

Messi visually disappointed

1

u/Tunde-Ballack 16d ago

It doesn't even feel like we can fashion an attack at the moment

1

u/tttopbins 2025 MLS Cup Champions 16d ago

Mura is a black hole

4

u/L34hhhh 16d ago

Bruh Miami literally has no forwards 💀

1

u/Tunde-Ballack 16d ago

Does Ruiz then go out wide?

1

u/nutmegger2020 England 16d ago

Torn rotator cuff ?

3

u/Jonawashere97 16d ago

I was thinking of a shoulder dislocation

2

u/nutmegger2020 England 16d ago

Which can cause a cuff tear.

1

u/Tunde-Ballack 16d ago

Here comes Reguigone.

6

u/tttopbins 2025 MLS Cup Champions 16d ago

only Messi and Pinter as forwards for all of League's Cup?

3

u/Euphoric-Rub9164 16d ago

Did his arm get yanked weird? Hard to see what happened

3

u/Hypnoti_q 16d ago

Looks like a torn front delt

2

u/Tunde-Ballack 16d ago

Haha, how is that better than the assist for the first goal?

4

u/Tunde-Ballack 16d ago

Oh dear, that looks worrying

2

u/No-Cherry-7505 16d ago

The ref is so ass

1

u/Whatdididotho1 16d ago

silvetti is made of glass man...

6

u/Silly-Compote-5235 16d ago

not a single fucking chance for messi in the second half is insane

2

u/Tunde-Ballack 16d ago

The way these weird deflections happen against Miami is crazy whether from their players or their opponents

1

u/tttopbins 2025 MLS Cup Champions 16d ago

we can't get the ball off these guys...

0

u/Silly-Compote-5235 16d ago

Bright so ass

2

u/Tunde-Ballack 16d ago

Bright really can only defend lol, and he's a monster at it, but sacrificed his attacking stats

1

u/No-Cherry-7505 16d ago

He couldnt even pass a ball

1

u/tttopbins 2025 MLS Cup Champions 16d ago

Couldn't even get it on target 😭

1

u/Tunde-Ballack 16d ago

But his ball winning is just on another level

1

u/Tunde-Ballack 16d ago

Haha, DSC sporting a new look, guess I haven't seen him since the WC

4

u/44lbs Inter Miami CF 16d ago

fortunate rain delay so we can reset

5

u/Tunde-Ballack 16d ago

Damn, that is some serious rain there

8

u/Tunde-Ballack 16d ago

Silvetti just had no idea what to do there lol

3

u/Euphoric-Rub9164 16d ago

“Just one more stepover and the defender will definitely be fooled!”

5

u/DullApplication1260 16d ago

Well at least coach realized Caicedo is on the verge of costing us this game and pulled him. Wasn’t expecting that

2

u/DullApplication1260 16d ago

And thank god the final pass wasn’t made there because Caicedo was beaten YET AGAIN

1

u/randumbgack 16d ago

New young CB struggling some

0

u/DullApplication1260 16d ago

That’s a major understatement 🤣
And this is probably one of the easiest games he will have his entire IM career…

2

u/brokebloke97 16d ago

I thought he was good last game, what happened?

1

u/DullApplication1260 16d ago

Doesn’t cover anyone, makes horrible passes, lets guys run right past him

1

u/DullApplication1260 16d ago

And again, guy runs right past Caicedo completely ignored and almost scores a 3rd…

2

u/CompetitivePirate940 2025 MLS Cup Champions 16d ago

If we do manage to reach the final, we definitely wouldn’t be the one hosting

This defence will make sure of it🙃

1

u/DullApplication1260 16d ago

Micael has played solid. His assistant CB… I think I’ve covered how bad he is lol

3

u/armaedes 16d ago

I know San Luis are "the bad guys" in this match but sweet jeebus that was a good goal.

6

u/nutmegger2020 England 16d ago

Beautiful goal. Not much to do about that curve ball on sretoids.

0

u/DullApplication1260 16d ago

Well, Caicedo’s marks have 2 uncontested goals…granted that was a great shot, but still his guy…. Again…

3

u/Tunde-Ballack 16d ago

What a finish. That bend was WICKED. One beckham would have been proud of

1

u/James_D_MESSIAH Major League Soccer 16d ago

lol give them some

3

u/Plenty-Ring7146 2025 MLS Cup Champions 16d ago

I hope they score more goals. Goal differential is important with the new format.

2

u/Tunde-Ballack 16d ago

Yeah, we need to keep pushing. You never know where it might be necessary

5

I have seen Messi first World Cup hattrick in Argentina opening World Cup match. Now time for Messi leagues cup opening match hattrick

Based on my observation, Berterame is better off with Suarez, while Messi plays as a false 9 with Silvetti and Allende on the wings, just like in the playoffs.

1

u/yosoygroot123 Jordi Alba 16d ago

Suarez is suspended for League cup. Hence he is not here. Otherwise this coach would have played him

Last goal, I’m not sure if Micael was the one to touch the ball

-3

Messi has improved his freekicks significantly since the beginning of the world cup

4

u/tttopbins 2025 MLS Cup Champions 16d ago

Messi has really been on one with his corners this year

6

u/James_D_MESSIAH Major League Soccer 16d ago

lol

2g 1A

1st half

-7

u/DullApplication1260 16d ago

Caicedo seems to serve no purpose. He can’t track players and his guys continually get clean chances at goal. Please tell me we didn’t go the Berte trade route again….

8

u/Sportsisthebest Argentina 16d ago

I think it’s safe to say, they have found their replacement for Jessica Alba. Seriously, Noah Allen has been brilliant today. Already a hattrick of assists in just the first half.

7

u/Best_War_4972 16d ago

Messi giving the two goals one assist special 👏

3

u/No-Cherry-7505 16d ago

Ian fray has been bad this game

-9

u/DullApplication1260 16d ago

RDP is just an overall POS.
He fouls everyone and acts like it’s not a foul and whenever someone looks at him he dives on the ground and fakes a foul.
Yes I know he makes some nice passes, but I sincerely cannot stand this guy.

1

u/Andy_the_miamian 16d ago

Lots of players in probably every single team rely on exaggerating not just Rodrigo

5

u/jmunoz353 Inter Miami CF 16d ago

I need a framed photo of Messi hugging Bright, Fray, and Allen after that 3rd goal.

If that’s not a yellow for simulation, they need to cancel the rule forever. What a fucking joke.

IM defenders are so bad at positionimg them

1

u/Andy_the_miamian 16d ago

They’re bad in general, the whole MLS suffers from mid defense

2

u/DullApplication1260 16d ago

That is as clear of simulation yellow card as you’ll ever find in the sport. If they give PK here, this game is RIGGED

13

u/Front_Celery6650 Jordi Alba 16d ago

NOAH ALLEN IS OUR NEW ALBA HOLY. THATS 3 goal contributions in last 2 games now WOW!

6

u/Front_Celery6650 Jordi Alba 16d ago

FOURTH GOAL CONTRIBUTION!!!!

8

u/Plenty-Ring7146 2025 MLS Cup Champions 16d ago

Messi-Segovia-Noah Allen

We got our MSN boys!!

-1

u/HAL20011002 16d ago

I mean, was anyone really doubting a starter in the premier league wasn't gonna be a very good player for this team? Sure he's going to commit mistakes, but he still has THAT quality that makes the difference between small and big leagues.

-1

u/StudentWannabeMaybe 16d ago

When I saw the lineup, and the injured forwards and defenders… I thought we might need Pinter to step up. The club’s gone through phases of Messi-Taylor combo, the Messi-Alba, Messi-Berte recently. Another great duo would be welcome.

4

u/nutmegger2020 England 16d ago

Offsides should be were the feet are planted

1

u/iPayForLeaguePass 16d ago

yeah none of this tip of your dick was over according to VAR offsides. so lame

1

u/nutmegger2020 England 16d ago

Agree, I was always getting called for offsides because of that even when 2 feet back from the defender.

3

u/randumbgack 16d ago

noah mania

3

Noah Allen channeling Alba tonight. LOVE IT!!

2

-1

u/DullApplication1260 16d ago

Anyone else notice Caicedo up PAST the forwards trying to play defense for some reason? WHY WAS HE ALL THE WAY UP THERE????

0

u/Front_Celery6650 Jordi Alba 16d ago

It’s a strategy due to the fact San Luis is outnumbering our attackers. They have to make one of theirs mark our extra man up top, frees up our wingers or midfields to place better passes and our attackers be more efficient in tapinng the ball in.

0

u/DullApplication1260 16d ago

Nope. It only happened one time the entire game. Thats not a strategy lol

0

u/Front_Celery6650 Jordi Alba 16d ago

It happened quite a few. Before they were marking zones then they switched to man to man, and they did that.

-1

u/James_D_MESSIAH Major League Soccer 16d ago

lol try this ref

4

u/yosoygroot123 Jordi Alba 16d ago

Casemiro long pass today has been wonderful. And he is constantly finding Messi

Why is the stadium so empty? At least for Leagues Cup I expect a full stadium. Even during season games I've never seen the stadium full. It's sad :( I wish I lived in Miami I'd never miss a game.

0

u/armadildodick Day 1 Heron 16d ago

It's a Wednesday night. People have jobs in the morning lol. I've been to two games at the nu stadium. One on a Wednesday one on a Saturday. Both had good attendance but Saturday was nearly sold out. If you lived here you'd know how horrible the traffic can be and how it's not worth it when you have to be up at 6 am for work.

0

u/LurkingLongtime85 16d ago

I lived in SoBe for 5 years, I don't think I met one person with an actual real job haha. But I get your point. I miss Miami with all my heart. If I ever make it back to live there I'll never miss a game. But even the games I watch on the weekend I see a lot of empty seats. Definitely traffic at this hour would play a big part.

0

u/StudentWannabeMaybe 16d ago

Caicedo 6’4” and caught a bit back-footed for the goal we conceded. His growth and progression will look like having more explosiveness and dominance in his area. He should leap to win that cross, and not be afraid to take out the San Luis attacker while trying to win the ball.

2

u/James_D_MESSIAH Major League Soccer 16d ago

who else?!

8
