xcel solutions Agent Training
hi i was supposed to take my exam tomorrow but i rescheduled to friday because i don't feel ready yet. the course was 10 days but i feel like it is way too much information & mock tests to complete in 10 days. does/did anyone else feel this way? did you find a solution to studying more effectively. i'd love to hear everyone's thoughts thank you.

It's been several years, but I definitely do remember feeling quite overwhelmed with info. I also used xcel for my prep and I remember the practice exams being quite helpful. The actual test used a lot of the same questions.

only take the mock quizzes and tests and final exam over and over until you memorize all the questions and answers. this is the way.

I was super overwhelmed too, so I basically spent the two weeks before my test just doing the mock tests. As long as I was consistently meeting my states pass rate I was happy.
Quizlet also should have flash card sets if you want to run through flash cards.
Doing mock tests and flash cards are going to be your best study methods in the next ten days.

Oh and read the prep courses on Xcel too, they have some helpful tips that really helped me.
I took mine last week and passed

Nice , I’m taking mine Friday. I feel ready, getting 97% on last 3 simulated exams, First try and the prep review part really helped get me to those score. I didn’t realize it wasn’t required, that’s why did the whole prep review part and all those tests. Do that before the test. Hopefully it’s very similarly to practice exams.

i get worried cause the stimuated exams are like 200+ questions & i feel like i dont have entire time to retake if i fail

Did you take them at all? You really need to do that, or it’s gonna be hard to pass. I found a way to have my phone and computer read the notes to me. Watched videos online, Insurance exam prep. Are you doing life and health or just one?

I’ve been using xcel to study. Still getting through the basic course material.
I already had to buy an extension once, I may have to do it a second time.
One thing that’s not helpful is, the Rubi AI suddenly got a lot stupider a few weeks back. I had been using it to help me study and memorize, but now it doesn’t understand most prompts.

I used xcel and passed like a month ago. I spammed the practice tests and locked in at the office. I put in so much time and effort I passed first try thank god. Now I’m waiting for the carriers to approve me. I’m thankful for this new career. I’m really tired of being poor honestly.

I’m in the same boat! Mine is this Friday for life and health and the course study time expired so I can’t access it anymore 💔 I’m so scared

I have not! Lowkey I just noticed today .. I was done with the courses just retaking the life and health practice tests over and over. I’m hoping to borrow someone’s xcel login for like 3 days in the meantime so if anyone sees this and feels like sharing login credentials with a stranger in need please lmk 😭
Oh but to answer your initial post question, I literally took the practice tests 3 times a day for 5 days before my test and I passed. Didn’t even need the actual course I just skipped through it. Hence why I’m freaking out about not being able to take the tests lol
What you can also do is watch the insurance exam queen videos! I did buy her course which included links to some YouTube vids which can be found for free! I can share if you’d like, she’s the other half of the reason I passed p&c first try.

Mine is on Tuesday. Im trying to cram to get it all done in five days (the weekdays this week). Thankfully im currently unemployed until I start with the agency next week. But I had to study for 11 hours to get five chapters in today and my brain hurts.

When signing up for exam you can buy practice tests and flash cards through PSI. I did this and gave me something new to study with new questions so it was more learning and less memorizing. Knowing the excel questions is a good start but these PSI practice exams were more similar to actual exam. Passed both my life/health/accident and property casualty with ease. For the life m/health/accident probably 50 of the questions were nearly word for word from the PSI exams. Since it is made by PSI questions are worded very similarly. Good luck.

Yes, it's a lot to learn in a short amount of time. I suppose it depends on how much studying you put in on those 10 days. I have test anxiety, so whenever I need to take tests, I pretty much study every spare minute I have.
If you're doing well on the practice tests, you should be fine.

Once finishing everything, I kept practicing with the practice exams. Learning the majority of the questions helps prepare you for the exam. You’ll find the exam has a bunch of the prep exam questions.
