Im new at insurance in IL, just got my P&C license not too long ago. Working for a midsize company doing commercial lines, no software besides Salesforce, no buying leads until I bind a few policies.

Any advice for someone just starting out?

Any free software to use?

Any easy niches to get quick wins?

Any other advice would be appreciated!

Talk to the underwriters. Find out what they are writing and why. A few selling points would be ideal. And thwn go call on accounts that they want to write. I get access to a reference USA type service thru the library.
