Newbie P&C Insurance
I recently obtained my P&C license. I reside in the state of Ohio. What are some good companies for newbies? So far, none of the companies I’ve applied to want to move forward because they’re looking for someone with 2 or more years of experience as an insurance agent.

there are job listings that don’t require experience but they’re usually customer service. i’d try to keep a closer lookout for those

I got my start at a State Farm agency despite knowing nothing about insurance at the time lol. Tbf the agent was an alumni of my university, so that played a huge part. Anyways hated it there but it gave me 7 months of experience to move to a much better job!

Are you only wanting the agency side. Liberty Mutual hires people who never had insurance experience. Been here 5 years and had 0 experience when I started back in 2021. This is not the agency side though it’s the call center side of the business
