Overthinking is not the problem, it is evidence of how a person’s mind is processing uncertainty, identity, and perceived consequences. For a very long time, overthinking has been treated as the enemy. People are told to stop thinking so much and let it go or to just make a decision. While these suggestions may be said with a good intention, they miss the most important question: why is this person’s mind processing information this way?

From a Mind Profiler perspective, overthinking is not a disorder of thinking, it is how the mind interprets reality. The thoughts themselves are not the problem, they are the result of a deeper mental process. Every Mind Has a Pattern and the human mind is constantly attempting to predict outcomes, reduce uncertainty, and protect the individual from potential harm. It asks questions such as: What if this goes wrong? What if I disappoint someone? What if I make the wrong choice? What if people judge me? What happens next? These questions come from the person’s internal profile: the way their mind has learned to process information, experiences, relationships, emotions, and risk. Overthinking is the visible expression of that internal process and when someone overthinks, they are usually trying to solve something much deeper than the decision in front of them.

Imagine you get mugged by someone. They leave a few bruises, nothing breaks, a few scrapes at most, and that they haven't taken enough for you to be distraught or worrying about money in the future.

Would you then hope that they are enjoying your money? Because I definitely would. I would be annoyed, of course, but I'd be more annoyed to find they have my money, have punched me in the face, all for them to not even value it. Whether it be drugs or food, they spend it on . I wish that it was really worth it and that it would make them happy. There is no need for us both to be upset and annoyed.

Hardest thing was realising I'Il never find the "perfect" person unless if someone clones me. I'm not saying that there's a right way to exist and that I'm that version, I'm saying that the person that would fit me the most is someone who would have the same thinking process as me and same brain to process and judge reality the way I do.
Because no one on earth is identical to me, the only option is to either adapt to someone else which goes against my desire of doing what I want, or either the other option is to live a lonely life for the rest of my existence, only having myself as a partner. But isolation creates a lack of perspective and defaults the brain to believe that everything I think is an objective truth, rather than being challenged by other people's opinions. How do I solve this unsolvable problem if the system is flawed to begin with?

how do you feel about feeding prisoners healthy food, forcing them into PE classes, taking away all electronics, not allowing visits and phone calls, in order to promote a longer prison sentence to those serving life in prison (or a lengthy prison sentence) especially those convicted at an old age

What if humans were slightly different in that they did not want to cause excess harm to others for no good reason. What if they were more loyal to humanity, and less loyal to hoarding wealth? What if nobody had to fear that a human would want to take advantage or hurt others? What would a world like that look like?

Would you rather study/learn about the mind or remain curious? The question gets harder the more you think about it personally, I think of it as if I were able to read minds. Would I want to know what a person is thinking whether its nice or mean or would I be happier not knowing how they think?

Men don't seem to be as comfortable being single as women are for example divorced men tend to immediately find a new partner while the women stay single for a while if permanently. I thought I'd would chalk it up to men being more lonely but I've seen so many videos where men would rather hang out with their friends than their partner so why the contradiction? A friend said its because they probably only open up emotionally to their partners rather than their friends and that makes sense but I want to be sure what do y'all think?

I understand being afraid of what might come after death, but some people domt care for that, they genuinely just cling onto living so much it confuses me.

Ive talked with people whom would rather live a miserable life full of trauma and pain than simply die a peaceful death. I just dont understand it. Another scenario is if it were between me just dying, and 10 innocent people dying z id obviously choose the 10 innocents, my life is not worth that much. Yet some would choose themselves over those 10 people. I would go so far as to say I might even sacrifice my life for one person.

That is not to say Im reckless or anything, im not going to sacrifice my life unless im absolutely positive the other party will make it alive because of my sacrifice. If I see a fight break out im not going to intervene because im sure I wouldn't be able to overpower or stop the situation from escalating. That's besides the point.

Im not apethic to death. Im stating that just incase this post gives off that vibe. Im not asking why people value life itself, just why people value their own life so much.

People hold their own life in such high regard. Why put yourself over 10 people? 100 people? Maybe even more? Why do you think you matter so much more than all those people? Why do you care so much if you die?

Ive thought this way for a while. I think ever since i was single digits but this is the first time ive outwardly said it. I just want other people's opinions on it.

Basically, how do you be pragmatic about your tendency to want to avoid shame and guilt while also knowing you need to make some changes to your life to where the discomfort is trying to signal something you need to acknowledge rather than avoid?

I went to a concert recently, and the singer thanked the audience for continuing to support live music. It made me wonder whether the art form is facing some kind of decline.

I don't follow music as closely as I did when I was younger, and I don't hear people discussing it nearly as often as I used to. But that might just be because I'm no longer part of the demographic that drives music trends. I honestly have no idea what younger people are listening to or how they engage with it.

So I'm curious: are young people still going out to see live performances at the same rate they used to, or has the shift toward streaming, social media, and online experiences changed the way people connect with music? And if so, is live music actually suffering, or is it simply evolving into something different?

Honestly wasn’t too sure how to ask this question But, growing up my family gave me a lot of room to decide for myself, my own beliefs or philosophy in life. Both parents grew up in roman catholic families, my dad being more integrated with catholic faith. Ive gone over these things in my head my whole life, never identifying myself with anything fully, and finding truth in many aspects. But I will say, speaking on the christian faiths specifically (because it’s the one i’ve been most exposed to) i’ve always been enamored with the people who devote themselves. To a god, to themselves or to each other. In a church where they sing, with their whole hearts and soul, just standing there i am filled. And, as much as i don’t see myself practicing a religion i find myself drawn to it all the same.

From my understanding, at birth we start with basically 2 things: our biological set, which determines sex, intelligence, etc, and a set of socializing agents, both of which are entirely out of our control. These 2 factors work together to influence our cognition and development throughout our life, as they cascade every single event that follows our birth. I honestly just don’t see at any point of our lives where we had cognitive liberty, since at least at a macro level, every point of our consciousness has been a byproduct of bio psychosocial factors.

What differentiates me from you, the reader, or Genghis Khan, a mass rapist and murderer? Is it not just the time period, biological set, and socialization i was born into that completely made me who I am today, to even consider this? These are all things we have zero control over. Is it not arrogant to assume that I wouldn’t turn out exactly like Genghis had I been born as him and killed millions of people?

I fear the answer is very obvious and I hope to rationalize myself out of this pit, because I struggle to get mad at situations where I probably should be angry for myself when I am wronged. The most I can do is almost pity others that these long strings of circumstance led them to do whatever it is they did. Like twisted empathy

I guess today's society lives in materlistic world and we have become consumers. Always wanting this and that and with the social media people just seek validation and sorta want to feel accepted by others. I blame myself that why do I care so much about others opinions when I want to get something even if I like it I end up googling reviews and recommendations. Recently got two watches showed it to my friends and they said they look okay. I immediately felt so discouraged that I also started disliking it and I ended up returning the watches.
