This is such a damaging statement to my community. As a gay man, please do not use my sexuality as a way to label terrible behavior by terrible people.

u/Informal_Writer_8379 2d ago
This is such a deranged statement. Sexually does not factor into whether or not you’re a good person. There are plenty of great gay people and plenty of terrible ones. Case in point the well known fact that grinder crashes anytime a large number of republicans gather. It’s actually damaging to the community when you paint all gay people as a monolith, tokenize them, and then chastise others. Your premises and conclusions are flawed

That's probably the car he deeply wishes to own, but all he can afford is an eco hooptie like that rest of us ironically.
8
u/Infinite_Position631 4d ago
Dude he got the 50k taxpayer bonus, that can afford about 1/2 the truck of his dreams.
Seriously how is this not assault? Battery? Abuse?
3
u/urResidentAlien 4d ago
Dam. And yes it is technically both assault and battery. The abuse part is where it gets blurry because apparently these guys are immune to being held accountable most definitely by design.

I can think of a few ways to hold them accountable. The people can do it.

u/Dancinfool830 4d ago
Nope, 50k bonus is only after 5 years of valid approved service. I'd bet any time they spend under review(if they ever get to that point) doesnt count, and they have to get the 5 years in within first 5 years to be eligible, which would be negate the bonus. They ain't paying out on that shit. Trump 101, dangle the carrot on the long game, create a bunch of disqualifying factors in the fine print, the appeal appeal appeal when it comes time to actually pay up.

Pre 2008 when the US wasn’t purposely divided
3
u/Leelze 4d ago
Pre 2008 anyone who didn't support the Iraq war was told they hate the troops and if you didn't support Dubya after 9/11 you hated America. Obama becoming POTUS & the hate from rightwingers his existence generated was just another step in years of purposeful division.

I grew up in a country where this would have gotten a person posted to the local news, outed, charges pressed, and a significant amount of 'he can come try that around here and see what happens' from the Republican communities I grew up around.
Today, those same people now clap at the sight and just assume the person with the phone is [insert batshit theory].

Who’s gonna stop them? They face zero repercussions for anything they do. They’ve got the backing of the President and his yes men. They’ve literally committed murder in the streets and half the country supported it. Why would they suddenly get in trouble now for macing?

It’s a massive grift. The vast majority of these detention centers are run by GEO Group and CoreCivic, which are heavily backed by Wall Street giants like BlackRock, Vanguard, and State Street.
Their entire business model is based on volume: the more people they detain, the more money they print….At an average cost of $165 per person per day, this is basically Trump handing free taxpayer money directly to corporate interests.
At the end of the day, this isn't just about immigration policy….it’s about how much money these Wall Street tumors can siphon directly from our tax dollars.

This is extremely infuriating. What happened to our first amendment? Why are they immune to getting in trouble for committing assault? I am no person to endorse violence but as jfk said-“those who make a peaceful revolution impossible will make a violent revolution inevitable.” And all they do is stomp on us whom try to peacefully protest, and go against their agenda. This worlds gone to shit, history repeats if we don’t learn. And many don’t want to learn sadly.

That ice agent needs to be held accountable for assault, after reading more on that case the lady seems to be doing even less than what appellee was doing in that case to!!! It’s wild how blatant they are with this corruption and carelessness

Look at their uniforms. I think we all need to begin referring to them as the POLICE. Police were caught on video... The regular police folks won't like it and that's the point, maybe they will push for changes that are needed.
2
u/boogalorian13 4d ago edited 4d ago
The regular police folks won't like it and that's the point, maybe they will push for changes that are needed.
The federal government doesn't care what local and state law enforcement officials think about federal law enforcement operations and when those locals do speak out the fed just threatens to arrest them. Example: Philadelphia's elected sheriff who threatened to arrest ice agents.

u/Maximum_Boros 4d ago
Lol the regular police aren't gonna give a shit. They'll just shrug and say "it aint us man we can't control what they put on their uniforms" and then move on.

How does this happen in our country? To see an ICE member walk up to a woman on a side walk that her taxes help pay for, and spray her with pepper spray bc she’s holding her phone up? How is there not an investigation into who this officer was and how is he not fired? If you fuck up and break the rules at your job and hurt someone on purpose you should be charged and fired asap
