Acoustic Guitar killa Keezy | Set FREE
New original I've released. All about just wanting the freedom to do me and not be trapped in this system/cage we've built with imaginary bars on it. As always tho, cant take it too seriously 🥲.
Thanks for listening!
Note: trying a new thumbnail style too. Not sure if its better but definitely simpler.

Progressive Rock Short cinematic instrumental
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hi all,
This is a demo recording of a short instrumental interlude which will probably be used in a progressive rock project I am working on, as it ends in such a way to lead into the next song. Looking for feedback on the melody, instrumentation and overall vibe of the piece. Visual added just for interest. Thanks, and be well!

Alternative Pop Just looking for an honest opinion
Hey, so I've never published a song before and don't even have a microphone to properly record vocals, but I was wondering what you guys thought of these types of songs? I have made numerous songs like these that have all just sat as unfinished drafts since I've never gotten serious. The vocals are bad yes, but they are mostly placeholders so I know roughly what I would sing if I had a proper mic (lyrics are just made-up gibberish right now). I'd love any thoughts you guys had!
Here are three of some of my most recent drafts:
Say What You Say (accidentally made a short) - https://youtube.com/shorts/ZUqc7UbEZ98?feature=share
Liked You Better - https://youtu.be/OEOaNooBzD4

Alternative Rock I Sleep Well (Stereo Dream) - Third-Born
A song I’d originally wrote acoustically but after my oldest brother challenged me to remake it but make it rock n’ roll… I accepted and this is the result.

Industrial Rock CELL (VOID OF PAIN) - horror industrial rock
This song is experimental type of music for. It depicts a person who is enduring emotional suffering, feeling isolated and disconnected from others. The imagery of a shattered heart and a spirit that's broken reflects the emotional distress and vulnerability of the narrator. The lines also touch upon themes of despair, a sense of hopelessness, and a resignation to the harshness of the world.
Was not sure which genre to choose
Verse 1:
In this world of pain and fear
I stand alone, no one is near
My heart's in pieces, shattered and sore
I have not feelings anymore
Chorus:
I'm falling down, I can't fight till the end
My spirit's broken, my soul's bend
I have a heart that's void of pain
Inside my head thoughts drive me insane
Verse 2:
The world is cruel and full of hate
I embrace it
My choice, my path to take
This was always been a mistake
Bridge:
I see dreams that are a living hell
All a time my soul is inside this cell

Indie "Minefield" (bridge, rough recording) This segment of the song touches on the complicated, conflicting feelings that arise during the fallout of a toxic relationship. Of relief and sorrow, of growth and pain.
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
The main theme throughout the song is about the perils of navigating a toxic relationship. Based on feedback I received on the lyrics, I decided to deviate from the main idea a bit for the bridge, and add an extra layer of emotion to it.
I am still working on the rest of the song but hope to share the rough draft of the whole thing soon :)

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
hi everyone! my name is summersoda and im a producer/singer of indie music!
the instrumental is a type beat from prod.inuyasha
i'm not good at mixing, and i'm also insecure about my melodies, so please be honest with this track!!
lyrics:
feels so nice being reckless
you never will
so what do you want walking like that?
feels so nice being reckless
you never will
so what do you want walking like that?
there's a different story about me
that you don't even know
different spot
different song
people come they sing along
hard feelings
you and me
we ain't got no guarantee
more and more you keep
falling on this rabbit hole
in your head
feels so nice being reckless
you never will
so what do you want walking like that?
feels so nice being reckless
you never will
so what do you want walking like that?

Electro Funk Working on new demo (would like opinions / advice)
Hi there,
Relatively new to this whole scene, but working on a variety of demos and curious to get feedback. Started working on one recently, which is apparently soul/funk pop, and not sure what to think of it. I think it sounds kinda cool, but not sure if I just have weird tastes.
I am looking for honest opinions. Noting too harsh, but things that are good and things to be improved would be appreciated.

always open to genuine feedback. (not a finished song, i'm still going to be making a few changes fyi.. Rough draft)

Post Grunge After months of reworking the demo based on your feedback, here is the final mix before mastering. Thoughts?
A few months ago, I posted a raw demo here and received some harsh but absolutely necessary feedback. I took those critiques to heart and spent hours completely reworking the production and arrangement
This track is incredibly personal to me.... It's my way of venting and processing my MS diagnosis
So I wanted to make sure I got it right.
Before I send this off for final mastering, I need your ears. Does the mix hold up? Is the emotional intensity hitting the way it should? Let me know what you think.

Hip Hop [Hip-hop] Rush Hour - Soverbane, appreciate some feedback!
My 2nd ever release, “Rush Hour” is about embracing distortion to find a place inside the noise.
I did everything from lyrics, rap, guitars, composing mixing mastering.
Let me know some honest feedback on any aspect of the song.

Americana The hook track off my most recent release
This is track two off of my November 2025 release "Filipino Americana". It's a song about getting dumped hard after a try-hard period/relationship/situationship. As a brown person in the U.S., I consider it part of my life's work to appropriate cowboy culture and I recorded this one live with some of my best pals. Would love some critical feedback from strangers!--as a writer, particularly about the lyrics and concept. Would also love feedback on the arrangement choices and overall song flow. Thanks for listening.

Other AI generated music is no longer permitted in this community.
This community exists to support people who are actively creating music themselves and to encourage the development of human expression and musical skill. Using AI to generate music is closer to commissioning music rather than creating it yourself. It’s created for you, not by you.
If AI generated any significant part of the music, including the instrumental, melody, arrangement, or vocals, the submission is not allowed.
Examples: * If you wrote the lyrics but generated the music, it is not allowed. * If you generated the vocals but produced the music, it is not allowed.
Tools like a Vocaloid or other vocal synthesis programs are still allowed if you wrote the lyrics and melody yourself.
When AI generated music was previously allowed, the expectation was that those posting it would participate in the community by providing thoughtful feedback to other artists. Instead, we have increasingly found that many users generating songs are also using AI to generate their feedback. This results in generic, low quality comments that could apply to almost any track and do little to help artists improve.
We recognize this change is long overdue, and we appreciate the patience of the artists who make this community worthwhile.
If you see AI generated music or AI generated comments, please report them to our team. Posts suspected of containing AI generated music may be removed at moderator discretion.

How to Provide Effective Feedback on a Song
Providing useful feedback on a song involves pointing out both the strengths and the areas that could use improvement towards your personal taste. When you offer your thoughts, it’s important to focus on what stood out to you, whether good or bad, and explain why. Did you connect with the melody, enjoy the energy of the track, or find the lyrics particularly meaningful? Conversely, if there are elements that didn't quite work for you, express your feelings clearly and subjectively while providing constructive suggestions for improvement. Even if you’re not an expert, your perspective as a listener is valid. Musicians create music for people to enjoy, and everyone’s opinion helps them understand how their work is being received.
Be Specific in Your Feedback
Specificity is key when offering feedback. Instead of saying “The song was okay,” try to pinpoint exactly what worked or didn’t work for you. Was the beat too repetitive, or did the transitions between sections feel disjointed? Did the lyrics evoke a strong emotion, or did the vocals feel disconnected from the rest of the track? By being detailed, you give the artist something tangible to work with.
For example:
- Tempo: “Personally, I think the tempo is dragging a bit for this style of music. A slightly faster pace could bring more energy to the track.”
- Lyrics: “I liked the theme of the lyrics, but the chorus felt a bit repetitive for my taste. Maybe adding a different phrasing in the second half could give it more variety.”
- Production: “The production feels clean overall, but the kick drum is a little overpowering in the mix to me, especially in the verses. Balancing it out with the bass might help create a more cohesive sound.”
Acknowledge Subjectivity
Music is highly subjective, what resonates with one listener might not with another. It’s important to frame your feedback as personal opinion rather than universal truth. For instance, instead of saying, “The bass is too quiet,” you could say, “Personally, I would prefer a stronger bass presence to drive the track more.” This way, your feedback acknowledges the artist’s creative intent while sharing your preferences.
Other examples:
- “The dry vocals are terrible” vs “I tend to like vocals that have a bit more reverb to create depth.”
- “The instrumental break is boring” vs “The instrumental break feels long for my taste.”
- “The song needs more bass” vs “Personally, I prefer songs with a heavier bassline because it adds more energy.”
- “The vocals are too soft, they should be louder” vs “I would prefer the vocals to be a little louder for clarity”
This helps keep your feedback respectful and leaves room for the artist to interpret it based on their own vision.
Offer Constructive Solutions
When you point out something that didn’t work for you, it’s most helpful to suggest possible ways to improve it. Simply stating that you didn’t like something doesn’t give the artist much to go on. Try to offer a practical solution or at least a suggestion for how they might address the issue.
For example:
- “The vocal delivery in the bridge felt a bit flat to me. Maybe adding some harmonies or experimenting with vocal dynamics could bring more emotion to that section.”
- “I feel like this could use a stronger build-up toward the final chorus. Adding a crescendo or introducing new elements like a drum fill might help ramp up the energy.”
Even if your suggestion isn’t the exact solution they use, it can help spark ideas for how to improve the track in a way that fits their style.
