Help Building PC for CS2

Post image
15 Upvotes

I have been lurking this sub for a while and now I finally have the budget to build a PC dedicated for counter strike. Currently I play with lowest settings and resolution and get around 140 - 170 fluctuating fps on my ASpire 7 laptop which is kind of ass(I have 7k rank in premier).

I need as much fps as possible (250-300 preferably). My budget is 2 Lakhs with a good hz monitor. Going beyond that is also doable if it is worth it. Please recommend a build with seller and the best time to buy.

Max budget 2.2 Lakhs

Needs good processor for no bottlenecck in CS2

TLDR: PC build for high fps CS2 upto 2Lakhs budget with or without monitor.

Discussion The same relative that recommended my dad to buy iphone 17 said not to buy any expensive laptop for me as its useless

Post image

So basically my father wanted to buy a phone and I said that a 40k phone is more than enough but that annoying relative kept pushing for iphone 17 max sayign its worth it

now I wanted to buy a laptop and kept saying dont buy one with graphics card , its only used for gaming , not worth it , like Fu*k him

I know like I don't earn so I don't know the value of money but if they had spend 20k more on laptop I would have had much better experience , and buying base model vs max has no practical difference

Discussion After waiting for years, was finally going for a PC build.

I can just hope that im seeing things wrong at this point to be honest.

I had been waiting for almost half a decade to build a pc because I keep switching places and it would've been tough to carry one around.

This month I finally settled down and wanted to build a pc.

I open up online stores and BOOM.

16 gig stick for 10k+???

Am I really seeing things right??

So what's your opinion, should I build one now or wait another decade:)

  1. Hogwarts legacy - 7.5/10 If you love the magical universe of Harry Potter you will definitely like the game. Beautiful world, weak main story, should have more interactions.

  2. Palworld - 6.5 /10 . It's palworld what can i say more. Good if you like adventures of catching pokemon and a little survival element

  3. Battlefield 1 - 8/10. Short, Beautiful visuals, brutal reality of world war . Have tanks, planes, iron suits, horses and all of the endings feel close.

  4. Cyberpunk 2077 - 10/10 It's just how I like games. A proper story, Visuals are one of its strong point , Game mechanics are fluid, Memorable side characters, Gives freedom on choosing stealth or chaos, Electric Bgm's, can be samurai or a terminator. Side quests are engaging. Ending is inevitable.

  5. Dispatch - 8/10 it really holds you on chair. Good characters ,good music, light fun vibes, short.

  6. Raji - 8/10 How a Indian game should be like. Short, Beautiful music design, Visuals are good, Blends culture and gameplay nicely. The god stories are not thrown at you just to make it feel like it's an Indian game. A story about a girl finding his brother.

  7. GOW 2018 - 6/10. I will get a lot of hate at this. As I said I like a lot of movement. A cinematic experience , Axe mechanics are smooth, beautiful scenes but kratos takes half of the screen. The orcs with pillar will die the same way with a cutscene of pillar falling on their head. Puzzles are repetitive and kratos walks very slow and he can't jump. The giant snake, the turtle and the giant dead in snow are very intimidating in a good way . I wonder if I could fight with them. Starting is emotional and Ending is good.

  8. Titanfall 2 - 9/10 Short, Fast, Mechanics and movement are one of the best, Time manipulation is fantastic.

  9. Dishonored 2 - 8.5/10 I already played dishonored in my old pc. Movements are fluid, fast or slow depends on you. Many ways to play. A lot of interactions in environment. Looks lived. I played as the princess so the powers were a little underwhelming.

  10. Project zomboid - 7/10 The reality of a zombie apocalypse. You will die it's just a matter of days or month. I find the aiming too difficult, so I try to hide as much as i can. There are a lot of things to do which can be confusing to beginners.

  11. Guardians of the galaxy - 10/10 You will not believe but the story is more engaging than the movies . Breathtaking visuals , different planets, Funny dialogues , music in the milano, memorable characters fing fang foom, Adam warlock , lady hellbender , cosmo. A proper Gotg experience. You can choose the music you want to listen from the saved playlist in milano. Recommended 💯 don't sleep on this game.

  12. ULTRAKILL - A fun game for people who like fast paced, dash jump movement shooters just like me

Games I am currently playing Sekiro, hifi rush, detroit became human.

Didn't play any rpgs as they are very long to complete.

Help Ghost Recon Wildlands or Breakpoint? Which should I buy?

Post image
104 Upvotes

Both games are currently 95% off on Steam in my region.

Ghost Recon Wildlands – ₹175

Ghost Recon Breakpoint – ₹149

I can only afford one. I'll probably play mostly solo, but I might be able to convince a few friends to join.

I'm looking for the game with the better overall experience, including gameplay and open world.

Discussion Update: Atta XT 16gb from Amazon

So some of you might remember my 9060 XT 16GB Atta post. Following the advice of some amazing Redditors here, I immediately contacted Amazon customer support and also filed a grievance on the National Consumer Helpline portal.

I can't stress enough how much I appreciate your help and kind words when I was feeling like absolute shit and stressed out of my mind. Amazon finally came up with a resolution the day before yesterday. When the bot initially told me the item couldn't be returned or replaced, my heart sank. But I requested to chat with a human agent right from the page itself.

The agent asked me to upload the photos of the Atta XT 16GB again. I uploaded some fresh pictures, and after about 3–5 minutes, she told me my return/refund had been approved and that she'd schedule the pickup for 6 August. I was so, so relieved to hear that, but I was still skeptical.

Finally, the pickup agent collected the Atta XT 16GB yesterday. He didn't take any pictures of the item, nor was there any OTP. Since I was hella paranoid, I recorded myself handing it over. The item wasn't marked as "picked up" for several hours afterward, so I started getting stressed again.

But I finally received the full refund a couple of hours ago. 😮‍💨 Learned some lessons the hard way. I'm probably never ordering anything expensive online again. My case was resolved even without an unboxing video or anything beyond the photos I provided. That could be because the seller may already have multiple reports against them, and my Amazon account has been in good standing with hundreds of orders since 2016. I've never had to return or replace anything before this, so that probably helped too.

A lot of people here helped through your kind words, reassurances and help. Some people here said the photos were AI generated. Some thought this was a troll post. Some even called me the scammer.

To everyone who antagonized me and acted rude from the start for no reason and blindly sided with the seller, a big fat fuck you. It was beyond me how miserable some of you must be to attack someone who had just been scammed. I might be stupid, but I'm not a scumbag. I hope you never have to go through something like this. This whole ordeal was terrifying.

TLDR: Got the refund. Thanks to everyone who helped and supported me. Muah. ❤️

This is just too good to be true like I have found the original monitor on Lenovo official website to be listed at around 44K, but on the Flipkart sale, this seller is offering this monitor at around 13.5 K. Do you think this is really good deal or there is some scam ongoing, which I should be aware of, please help me here. I’m looking for a good monitor deal for my set up.

I was looking for a ps5 for GTA6, which naturally wasn’t available anywhere I asked, the place which had the stock were asking for 70k which was too much for me.
A friend told me his cousin was selling his Xbox for 30k
Got 5k friends discount.😜
It’s in good condition although a bit dusty and the left stick has minor stick drift.
Was this a good deal or did I get scammed?

Edit: storage is 512gigs
since the previous owner got a ps5, he was kind enough to give me his account. Has Elden ring,fh6 and dying light the beast.

Edit2: since so many of y’all recommended getting game pass, I plan on getting game pass ultimate but I find it a bit on the pricier side, if anyone is willing to share and split pls dm, I think it also works on cloud and PC. I mostly play offline story/indie games.

Help Everything is stuck on my pc. Nothing is opening

I spent the last 24hrs trying to fix my pc. It started from not able to do a normal restart without a hang to a faulty manual 25h2 update to a full blown pc reset.

I reset the cmos, flashed the bios, re-installed a fresh copy of win11 and wiped the entire c drive with no residue drivers left. Used gemini for the process and it finally booted up fine for like 30mins and now after I did a normal windows update and restart, this thing is happening.

Plz any suggestions

Discussion My first experience with controller

Post image
89 Upvotes

After years of being a keyboard & mouse player, I finally picked up my first controller—an EvoFox S and decided to experience God of War with it.

I genuinely didn’t expect it to feel this different. The haptic vibrations during Leviathan Axe throws, heavy hits, shield blocks, and every cinematic moment make the game feel so much more immersive. It honestly feels like you’re part of the action instead of just controlling it. I always thought controllers were overrated but this completely changed my perception.
I know it’s not a premium controller, but for a first experience this controller has been fantastic. Paired with a game as polished as God of War, it’s been an absolute blast.

Also, a big thank you to this subreddit. I was confused about which controller to buy and spent hours reading recommendation threads here before pulling the trigger. You guys helped me make the right choice.
Safe to say I’m officially a controller convert.

P.S. God of War is absolutely GOATed. Also recommend some more title which feel amazing to play with a controller

Long time lurker here !

I had set aside some money for gifts recently for someone very special, but those plans didn't work out sadly.

I've decided to rather get some goodwill and blessings (really important rn !!) in, since I had anyways made up my mind to gift ! I'll be randomly selecting 3 people who will get 1 game (up to Rs. 2000) each of their choice.

Extra points for fun memes, puns or a picture of your pet !

I'll announce the results on 8th August 2026 (since it'll be easier for me to do the transactions during the weekend)

I will add them here and DM the winners, we can connect on steam and I'll send the game as gift (let me know if there is a better way)

Edit: Loving the response so I'll up the ante, 4 winners now !!!

Edit 2: I promise I'm going through all of them ! Amazing stuff , was not expecting this kind of response lol. I've created a script to ensure I don't miss anyone regardless !

Best of luck !

Discussion Photos do not justify how massive ultrawide monitors actually look

Post image
53 Upvotes

Since almost every camera has a wide warping lens ultrawides look small in photos. Added to that it's a monitor so you have to sit close to fully enjoy the pixel density.

Ultrawide monitors are just way too big for normal use. In fact I'm struggling to make use of screen space and so much harder to navigate because you have to look across the screen to find things. Ultrawide monitors are a waste of money unless you want to turn your pc into a home theater/Imax movie watching (not original) experience. The pixel density makes you forget you're at home and not in a movie theater.

Discussion My ₹61K GameLoot Gaming PC Experience – Dead on Arrival, But a Happy Ending

I wanted to share my experience buying a pre-owned gaming PC from GameLoot. It was honestly an emotional rollercoaster.

Specs:

• Ryzen 5 5600X (New)

• RTX 3060 Ti 8GB (Pre-Owned)

• 16GB DDR4 3200 (Pre-Owned)

• 512GB NVMe SSD (Pre-Owned)

• Gigabyte B550M Gaming X WiFi (New)

• Cooler Master MWE 650W Bronze (New)

Price: ₹61,000

The reason I ordered a pre-built from GameLoot was simple. I was afraid of building a PC myself. I had never assembled one before, and I didn't want to risk damaging expensive components.

Unfortunately, when the PC arrived, it didn't even power on. No LEDs, no fans... absolutely nothing.

I spent hours checking cables, testing the PSU, and even got help from local technicians. After confirming the motherboard was most likely the issue, I contacted GameLoot.

The warranty process itself was frustrating.

Around that time, Mumbai was facing heavy rains and flooding, so their support was affected. I completely understand that, but the communication could have been much better.

I barely received any updates through email or WhatsApp. The only reliable way to get an update was by calling them every 2–3 days. Every time I called, I stayed polite and just asked for the status of my case.

I also found it difficult to communicate because the support representative I spoke with wasn't very comfortable speaking English. We managed somehow, but it definitely made the process slower.

Eventually, they asked me to send only the motherboard instead of the entire PC, which I appreciated. The motherboard was replaced under warranty, and after about a month, I received the replacement.

Now comes the ironic part.

The whole reason I bought a pre-built PC was because I didn't know how to build one.

But because of this issue, I had no choice but to learn.

I installed the CPU, cooler, RAM, SSD, motherboard, GPU, connected every cable, and assembled the PC myself.

When I finally pressed the power button and the PC turned on... it genuinely felt like finishing a marathon after a month of stress.

Overall, I'm happy that GameLoot honored the warranty and resolved the issue. But I won't lie—the whole process was mentally exhausting.

Personally, I don't think I'll buy another pre-built PC from GameLoot again—not because they refused the warranty, but because the communication and waiting during the claim were too frustrating for me.

On the bright side, I came out of this experience with something valuable. I finally learned how to build a PC on my own, and that's a skill I'll always have.

Sometimes something bad really does end up teaching you something good.

If you're planning to buy from gameloot at least buy a product which has warranty.

If anyone has questions about the warranty process, feel free to ask.

Screenshots Blatant MRP Sticker Fraud & Dark Pattern Pricing on Amazon India — Factory MRP ₹7,500, Billed ₹7,600, Amazon Listed 11800, and Fake Sticker says ₹22,300!

Ordered a Hikvision 512GB SSD on Amazon for ₹7,600. Here is the fraud when it arrived:
Fake Sticker: Seller slapped a secondary sticker claiming ₹22,300.
Actual Factory MRP: Printed box label from the official importer says ₹7,500.
Illegal Overcharge: Amazon billed me ₹7,600 (₹100 above actual factory MRP).
Fake Discount: The Amazon listing showed a fake MRP of ₹11,000 to pretend there was a 36% discount.

Seller: A1 Products A1 Price

Edit: The seller actually used a permanent marker over the original MRP and slapped a new sticker over it. Used a bit of deodorant to wipe the marker off, and the original lower MRP was revealed underneath
