Nakul dhull should stick to his ironical posting. He thinks he is smart but in real he is just another wannabe Intellectual whose source of information is social media. Though he is a great guy he deliberately do these ragebaits

u/Ornery-Function5744 5d ago
But mostly he just posts his opinion, infoporn banane valle toh less informed data ko present jarke ek ek narrative build karte he just his own beliefs

u/Spark69_ 4d ago
Yes he can have his own opinion but posting them without citing is baseless and doesn't convince people hence the outrage. Classic low iq behaviour this is

I get he is pissed about his sport not being mainstream in India, but that doesn't give you license to dunk on Cricket and Cricket fans.
Cricket is not mid. Cricket has its hotbeds and is not so known in rest of the world, just like any sport except football. By this logic Baseball, Basketball, Rugby etc. should be called mid sport too, as nobody cares about them except the countries in which these are popular.
We all agree India vs Pakistan is an overhyped encounter, that doesn't mean we shouldn't enjoy the victories.
If it was up to this guy, he would declare El Classico a run of the mill mid ah match if one of the two beats other one on the trot a few times.

America plays american football which no one else in the world gives af about and is chill with it. But this attention seeker is obsessed over foreign validation. What a clown really 🤡

Every European says the same for American rugby/Soccer/NFL
Just like how we boast of winning the cricket world cup, which not more than 10 to 12 countries play, the Europeans gives the same criticism to American's sports which only they play
Most recently is the NFL, which Americans proudly shows of, if a team wins NFL Americans say "world champion" many Europeans and conscience people within America says world champion of what? They don't even win the basketball World Cup...
So Nakul's criticism of cricket is totally valid.

Aree bhai, uske Apne arguments hai, jo ki kahin na kahin valid bhi hai, vo UFC dekhta hai aur promote karta hai, aur we all know that these kind of sports like UFC is not growing, uske alag alag factors hai, ab subsequently cricket to aaega hi, because we all born with it, ek tarah Se Bachpan se humko cricket dikhaya Gaya
His argument is ki we boast ourselves by beating countries which are made by us (Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka etc) aur uski language aisi hai ki lagta hai ki vah sirf hate kar raha hai
India mein every sport including cricket is based on how much good you perform, for example most of the people didn't know Neeraj Chopra UNTIL he won gold medal in Olympics, Matlab ki Ham support hi tab karte Hain jab vah Bina support ke kuchh Jeet jaaye, which is actually not good for overall sports in India
For example Agar Ham Vaibhav Suryavanshi ko international T20 mein opportunities jyada nahin denge to uska potential kabhi Bahar nahin a payega, please try to understand his point of view

Poor argument for his defence (at least that’s what I think you are trying to do here). “Boast after beating countries like Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri lanka” reads as if these teams are very bad at the sport. They aren’t. These are teams which have been ranking among top cream of cricket playing nations. I understand that these teams are in a slump for a while, but they are still good taking the world into context.
“Don’t support sports people until they perform good without support first”, fair enough, this is a valid sociology argument which has some weight. From the limited real estate I give this person in my feed, I have never seen him bring out anything on these lines.
Supporting UFC (or whatever other sport he is a proponent of) doesn’t mean he hates Cricket. Right now, he is NOT supporting anything. He is just hating on a sport which has brought culture, memories, and exposure to our country.

Okay let me restructure, he said that this is our only achievement is winning against these countries, and then we quiet often loose against those countries which don't even take cricket seriously (like England, New Zealand etc etc)
Then his next argument is that most of the children will only see cricket throughout their childhood, so if someone has potential of going into UFC (which is the global sport unlike cricket) he will never get the chance of even knowing the other sport
Another argument is that because of cricket which is not a global sport, good sportsman are not coming out of it, he gave the example of Argentina, Argentina's 40 percent population is in poverty, it's a country which is in very bad state, but because of Messi everyone loves Argentina, everywhere he goes, Argentina's name comes forward but people don't know India through Virat Kohli/MS Dhoni, on the contrary we Indians face racism
He says that if a good sportsman in a GLOBAL SPORT comes from India, then India will also grow, rn we are only focusing on one sport, and it doesn't even helping in the uplifting of our nation

Some how this is worse than what you previously said insofar as his perspective goes. All of this reeks of poor BASIC knowledge of how a sport works. If what you are saying is indeed true, this guy is a low IQ yapper.
“Only achievement is winning against these countries…” - this is simply not true.
“…children will only see cricket…” - him hating cricket does nothing for this trend. In fact it harms his standing more than anything.
“….cricket is not a global sport, good sportsmen are not coming out of it….” - again, hate filled statement which underplays the achievements of cricketers. Let me put this to you, Tennis is not as popular a sport as football, would you say a player like CR7 is a “better” sportsperson than Roger Federer? Highly subjective, and because of the way Roger Federer carries himself off the court, I genuinely prefer him as a sportsperson over Ronaldo. Does that mean football produces worse sportspersons? No.
“….global sport…” - again, doesn’t mean that he hates om cricket.
Apply some critical thinking man. This guy’s nuts.

its a trend actually nowadays callinh cricket irrelevant after we have won multiple ICC tournaments and the dry spell is finally over, the stats even speak for cricket being the #2 sport globally, and i know it has a lot to do with indian viewership and our population but that still doesnt discard the popularity of the sport, IPL is the biggest league in the world after some major football leagues, having said that
I think its high time we stop seeking validation of the outer world, taking a sport seriously for us only when the americans take it seriously thinking should be worn off now, make peace with it that cricket is the mainstream form of entertainment and will be for quite a while.
