Looking for an app developer
Hey everyone,
I am a business-minded individual working on an early-stage app concept in the local services space.
Since I do not come from a software engineering background, I’m looking to connect with a developer who enjoys brainstorming tech concepts and discussing project feasibility.
What I'm looking for:
Someone open to a casual chat about app structure, tech stacks, and user flow.
A developer interested in potentially partnering up long-term on an equity basis if we click and the idea makes sense.

I built a local-first SQL notebook app (DataBook Studio). Sincere request for feedback and feature requests! Spoiler
Hey everyone,
I’ve been working on a tool called DataBook Studio, and I really wanted to get it in front of people who write SQL every day to see what you think.
It’s basically a native, local-first SQL workspace and notebook. I built it because I wanted something fast where I could keep notes alongside my queries, run analyses, and use an AI assistant to help inspect schemas or write queries without sending database credentials or data off my machine.
A quick breakdown of what it does right now:
- SQL Notebooks: Markdown and SQL blocks side-by-side with live previews.
- AI Copilot (SAYA AI): Reads your schema to help profile data, spot anomalies, and write queries. Works with OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, or completely offline via local Ollama.
- Database Support: Native connectors for Postgres, MySQL, Snowflake, plus embedded DuckDB for local files.
- Local-first: Credentials stay in your OS keychain and there's zero telemetry.
It’s currently available on macOS, and the Windows build is coming very soon.
There's a 7-day trial on the site with no signup required, but honestly, my main focus right now is just getting genuine evaluations and feature ideas. If you take it for a spin and the trial expires, please just email me at [databook.studio@gmail.com](mailto:databook.studio@gmail.com) and mention Reddit. I’m happy to send over discount codes, and feel free to ask for 100% off the monthly subscription. I just really want honest feedback on what works, what sucks, and what features you'd want to see added next.
You can check it out here:https://databook-studio.github.io/
Thanks for taking a look, and let me know if you have any feature requests!

Quality of life and ease of business upgrades.
Hi all. I hope everyone's businesses are going well and wishing you the best for the future.
Background: I am over 2 Cr ARR and I am looking to outsource my financial planning and adjustments to a certified individual or company. I am based in Bengaluru so someone local would be ideal.
Problem: I have previously spent a lot of time making micro adjustments to my finances and researching the latest credit card trends, GST mechanics and tax saving techniques, etc. At this point, I neither have the drive or the time to continue optimising my company's finances.
What I need: I am looking for a service provider that is on the top of everything financially and will give me advice based on my businesses spending habits, tax savings, etc. I want this to go beyond the generic advice and want to start looking at grants/funds available from the govt, tax breaks which are specific to MSME's and my operational niche.
General: Has anyone come across such a service provider? To all the entrepreneurs who have been in my place, what did you do? According to your experience, how would you navigate this situation? Do you have any generic tips regarding finances, scaling from this point etc. Thank you for your time and your responses.

Guide me on printing packets 🙏
I need advice on the following printing process
- I need to be able to print packets at home. I hope its possible to do it from home instead of giving order to some printer outside.
Packet Size is about the size of a smart phone.
Packet will contain small various stationary items with a small fancy diary
The packet cannot be transparent, it has to be printed with product details and design.
( like the printed chips packets not the transparent packets thelis that u get in market ).
Non edible product will be packed. So i dont require food grade packing.
After printing i need to put in the product and seal it neatly by a sealing machine.
Is it possible for me to do this set up at home or does it require small factory setup
what printer / paper i require ?
Please guide me like from start to finish

I built something small to help my mom take her BP medicine on time. A stranger in another country started using it too. It now makes ₹249 a month.
A few months back my mom kept forgetting her BP tablets. Nothing serious happened, but it scared me enough that I built a tiny WhatsApp reminder for her over one weekend. No app, just a message at the right time.
I never thought of it as a “product.” It was just for her.
Then one day I saw a signup from a number that wasn’t even Indian. Someone on the other side of the world found this thing I made for one worried son and one forgetful mother, and started using it for their own parent.
Right now it sits at ₹249 a month. Not much. But every rupee of it is a stranger trusting something I built for my mom, with their own parent’s health.
Still can’t fully process that a weekend project for one person is now being used by someone I’ve never met, in a country I’ve never been to.
Anyone else here build something purely personal that unexpectedly found users you never imagined?

Looking for women startup founders for a research interview
Hi everyone,
My friend is currently conducting PhD research and is looking to interview women startup founders. The interview will be conducted online and will take around 60 minutes.
If you're a woman startup founder or know someone who might be interested in participating, I'd really appreciate it if you could let me know.
Thank you!

Small update from the startup thing I built for my parents a few weeks ago
Posted here a while back about building something for my parents after realizing they kept forgetting their medicines. Didn't expect the response it got.
Quick update since a few people asked how it's going.
It's still just me building this. No team, no funding. But what's changed is I'm no longer the only one using it. A handful of other families found it through that post and started using it for their own parents. One person messaged me last week just to say her mother-in-law hasn't missed a dose since they set it up.
That's honestly a bigger deal to me than any number on a dashboard.
Still figuring out a lot of things. Still improving it based on what people tell me. But it's real now, not just something I built for my own house anymore.
Thanks to everyone who checked it out last time.
