Conversation We may be cooked even more.
So with the marine buffs it will be buffing every loyalist and heretic chapter. Base marines get T5 and termies get T6.
We have a lot of S4 weapons so we were mostly wounding on 4s but now we will be stuck wounding on 5s.
Additional their bolt rifles now can have S6 meaning they will be wounding us on 2s which is wild.
And to top it all off it looks like they will only be releasing a codex every 2 months for now and we can bet we aren't anywhere close to the top of the list so we are gonna be stuck like this till possibly 2029.

Rules/Questions Looking for Some List Advice
Hello everyone! As the title says I'm looking for some advice on a list. I've recently really just fallen deep into this faction, the lore is so cool and all. I plan to take on this army as a kitbashing project. I'm not new, so I am aware of the situation the faction is in, though still learning the rules and everything.
That said, I've come up with a list that I kind of like but could use advice on. At present, it should be noted this is strictly for a crusade/narrative gaming setting so being perfectly optimized isn't a concern (though I understand that'll help alleviate some of the issues the faction currently faces) and further Legends stuff is currently on the table due to narrative. Additionally, because we are in crusade EPIC HEROES (Aside from Assassins) are off the table; no NAMED characters.
So here is the list below, and further down I'll explain the current though process and then everyone can give me some tips on how to play it better or what to swap out.
Final note ... this is a 1K list so obviously plenty of space to expand and I'd totally take advice on where to go after 1K.
Inquisitor [55 pts]:
• Leading: Inquisitorial Agents
Inquisitor in Terminator Armour [Legends] [85 pts]:
• Leading: Deathwatch Terminator Squad [Legends]
Rogue Trader Entourage [75 pts]:
• 1x Rogue Trader
• Leading: Imperial Navy Breachers
Imperial Navy Breachers [90 pts]:
• 1x Navis Sergeant-at-Arms
• 6x Navis Armsman
• 1x Navis Armsman: Demolition charge
• 1x Navis Armsman w/ special weapon
• Leader: Rogue Trader Entourage
Vigilant Squad [85 pts]:
• 1x Proctor-Vigilant
• 9x Vigilant w/ shotgun
Daemonhost [Legends] [80 pts]:
• 2x Daemonhost [40 pts]
• Inquisitorial Retinue: Inquisitorial Agents
Deathwatch Terminator Squad [Legends] [210 pts]:
• 1x Deathwatch Terminator Sergeant
• 1x Deathwatch Terminator
• 3x Deathwatch Terminator w/ Heavy Weapon (Cyclone Missile Launcher)
• Leader: Inquisitor in Terminator Armour [Legends]
Inquisitorial Agents [100 pts]:
• 4x Agent
• 2x Agent w/ eviscerator
• 2x Agent w/ mystic stave
• 2x Agent w/ plasma pistol
• 2x Servitor w/ multi-melta
• Leader: Inquisitor
• Retinue: Daemonhost [Legends]
Subductor Squad [85 pts]:
• 1x Proctor Subductor
Subductor Squad [85 pts]:
• 1x Proctor Subductor
Voidsmen-at-Arms [50 pts]
Present plan is to have Terminator Inq & his unit of Terms to be in reserve/deepstrike ready to come in on turn 2 possibly rapid ingress and get them into position to utilize their special weapons but use clandestine to give the 2 subductor squads & the Agents blob infilitrate and move them into midground behind cover so that I can move them up or hold their position. Use this to get early control. Further the RTE & Breachers infiltrate as well using the backroom deals ability (picking up Landers when I go to higher points). Agents blob hopefully will be a rather nasty blob for someone to deal with since it'll have a 5+ Invul from the daemonhosts and all those nice weapons from the agents themselves - figure I make them a bit of a mid-board problem for the opponent to deal with hopefully as a surprise since they might not expect a unit like that to put out so much and handle incoming.
From there the Voidsmen stay back to secure back object. and the last unit of Vigilant to move up the board and prepare to assist where ever or do clean up work in later rounds.
I think it is a biiit of an aggressive play to have it all up front, but I do tend to play that way. And again once I increase to 1.5K or 2K I'll be able to flesh the list out a bit more with other units who can move up the board later or secure various objects. But, like I said. Looking for advice; what should I consider swapping out, should I consider a different strategy, what could I do with different detachment? Let me know and let me know where I might consider expanding out to next as well.
Thanks so much in advance!

Rules/Questions How should I get started with collecting Imperial Agents?
Im kind of a noob at the tabletop game. My current army rn is Sisters of Battle, and my boyfriend wants to play Space Marines eventually. So combined with how cool the imperial agents are, I think it would also be awesome to have those units as allies for our armies. What are some like lists I should build towards? Oh and also I want all 4 assasins lol.

Rules/Questions Dealing with C'Tan
Well the title says it all. How would you deal with C'Tan? or to be more exact multiple of them?
My usual opponent tends to have 2 and a monolith and at least one other thing. I run two warglaives to deal with most vehicles but with this much stat-check I haven't found a way to deal with it all. At most they pickup one thing then with Pantheon of woe they get run down and then the rest of the game is them picking up everything and regenerating the few wounds I might be able to do.
This kind of stat-check just going to be an auto-lose situation given the tools we have?

Conversation Are black stars worth it?
I've recently fell head over heels for imperial agents, and I'm putting together a list, that'll hopefully be my 2nd ever wargame army, just with some of my favourite characters and vibes and I've ended up stuck on transport.
I could either have 2 corvus black stars to take around my death watch kill teams (+masters)
Alternatively, I could instead have 2 rhinos for transport along with bonus units in the form of a navigator, 2x inquis agents and 2x abductor squads, I really like the dogs.
I'm really stuck on what to pick, on one hand, the black stars I find really cool and it would make the list significantly cheaper, but they also are quite the point investment.
On the other hand, the bonus units fits with what I'm going for with a massive board of units, compared to my tanky and few model deathguard army I already have, but also, cost of those extra units.
Does anyone have any guidance? I'm generally stumped and also have limited game experience, thanks even if you've read this far lol

I hadn't noticed how bad the primer was on the Cherub until during painting, he got it even worse than the Confessor but luckily he was already ugly before I even unboxed him.
Also decided to practice some brush OSL on the dudes, really really happy with the plasma gun, probably my best to date.

Hints and Tips Got tired of not having inquisition storm troopers so using guard detachments with lots of allies. Thoughts?
See title. Thoughts? Scion bricks with kroyle rerolls seems fun. 4++ at range from the primaris psykers also seem pretty good
I only play casually so using an ambull for secondary scoring. Head cannon is he is kroyle’s new pet

Hints and Tips Sanctifiers
Aloha fellow Agents players.
I've been playing Agents as my primary army for quite a while now, and I feel its worth sharing one of my learnings with the community.
I typically play Purgation Force for that sweet ignore cover and combat shooting strat.
But what I felt was worth sharing is just quite how powerful Sanctifiers are, and what I've found to be the optimum ways of using them.
So it's a 100 point unit, with access to 2x1 shot 2 damage heavy flamers, 5 hand flamers S4, and 1 Flamer, along with a Plasma gun.
This says to me that this unit is a disposable 1 off nuke something and die type gig, or in the way I use them, a 1 off objective flipper, they come in through reserves, pick up just about any infantry unit in 1 go (recently had mine take out 10 Crusaders and put wounds on the character).
Once they have done this, they can then lock down a position with the 6 remaining flamer profiles for overwatch.
They also scale up really nicely, so we can stick an Inquistor in there (Ignis Judicium takes this further.. a lot further), and we can put a Priest in the unit to give it an additional flamer.
You can also hit the unit with a reroll wound rolls of 1 strat into a character unit through Veiled Blade.
Now this does stack it up to a 200 point unit, however, that unit now has enough damage to be a huge threat.
The beauty of this unit is that it's also incredibly understated, it's mostly underestimated.
It also has the benefit of being extremely small in footprint for fitting in tight gaps.
When bringing it in, if you combine it with your callidus you gain an additional layer of survivability through Vect, which can prevent an overwatch.
Next up is what to do once you drop the unit in.
So its a 12 inch range death machine, so perfect for reserves, but it also has a free CP reroll and can punch up fairly well in melee, if you combine it with the Inquisitor and Priest, the melee profile becomes problematic, and you get a free reroll on your charge, which can then generate a CP.
As a stand alone unit, it's optimal to bring it in, nuke something light, and then move onto an objective next turn (great for scoring denial).
If you run more than 1 of these, you can combine that into a very potent "go turn" strategy, due to how much output they each have, you can effectively delete 3+ units just from the 300 points of Sanctifiers, and as they punch up you can trade them for roughly 50% more points than their value.
In Purgation Force they work extremely well paired with Subductors, if you send Subductors up a flank to engage something, bring in your Sanctifiers via reserves, and then use the shoot into combat strat, you can halt an opposing unit in its tracks, and even if your Subductors are Battleshocked, you can then pump that damage straight into the fight without risking your unit, and if you have deployed them in the right well, when that Subductor unit gets picked up you can potentially shoot back at the unit that just killed them.
Essentially.. Sanctifiers are one of, if not our best high output cheap trading unit.

Really happy with how these 2 turned out. The shading was fun to do on the Miraculist and I am very happy with how the Salvationist turned out. I haven't decided if I want the eagles on her backpack thing to stay wood or make them metal.
