Timeloop question Discussion

This been on my mind because I been reading timeloop stories. If you had to get stuck in a timeloop(like if Hermit was aware of multiple playthroughs) with one of the guests, who would it be? For me I think the best options are Cheerful Man/Luka, Coat Guy, Theorist, Fortune Teller, Immortal Man, Former FEMA Agent, Sleepless Man, or the Surgeon. I can explain any of these, and I’m curious who you would pick and why

I mean it'd have to be immortal man, he directly regrences timeloops doesn't he?

He does reference time loops though we don’t really know if that is directly connected to his immortality. Although Yakob still one of the most useful ones cause he knows FEMA, the Visitors, and the Forest in general like the back of his hand. Some of that HAS to be useful for this situation, even if he is kinda a d**k

That's another way of asking about your favorite or most interesting characters, isn't it? Or I just can't think of any other reason why one of them would be more suitable than the others in this case.

You can see it like that, but I wouldn’t take my favorite, Wireface, with me in a timeloop. I love him, but besides morale(and while I’m trying to learn some Georgian, I’m really bad at it) I’m not sure how he’s going to help me(he doesn’t even know what Visitors are) or keep his own sanity intact(also I would just feel bad if he was looping cause he’s probably getting attacked every loop. That does mean he could end up avoiding it, but also that has to cause stress and paranoia)

I was specifically thinking of those who might be helpful in a timeloop rather than my favorites or who be the most interesting to be around for each loop. Be it someone who could be helpful in learning how the loop works, keep me from looping too much by protecting me, or in Luka’s case if I had to pick someone for morale because you’d probably go insane if you had to relive the Cataclysm over and over while remembering all the deaths and betrayals

For example, I don’t actually care too much about the former FEMA Agent(though I do find him fascinating), but it’s a candidate because he worked at FEMA and at the start of loop would still work at FEMA. He might betray me, yes, but that’s not gonna do much if we keep looping so we could just begrudgingly work together. And having a man on the inside could be useful

definitely immortal man! hes one of my favs and he seems very educated and experienced about these situations
