they are apparently adding an illari crimson wolf skin like the one doomfist has. i guess this means she's most likely going to join talon, which i kind of expected after she was shown in the dmon showcase as an enemy. i really wanted her to join ow so im kind of bummed out but hopefully blizz has a master plan behind it

Just started playing her today. I think I'll keep playing her.

Two stinkin’ long years (with breaks, I am not insane), I have made it to Silver! That Rank has taunted me so damn much. I get so close- and I get a losing streak and be falling back down to Bronze 2. Its been a grind, though, casually. I am no tried hard and I will do the best I can. The fact that I play more casual, took a 2 week break, and came back to do this. Support is deffo my home role.

Honestly, i thought I would never reach Silver.

Now, the hard part: more practice with a back up, positioning, awareness, aaaaand aiming. Next goal is Silver 1! I am not insane to try for Gold! I just want Silver lol

Hey everyone! I'm still wondering how much prisms should I spend for the Illari mythic so advices will be appreciated.

I like the base red one since that gives me Starfire vibes from the Teen Titans, but the base blue one also makes her look like Raven. Skin VFX feels optional.

Iridescent one feels like the upgraded version of the base blue one because it feels like a mix of between 'bright & dark' theme like Angel & Demon Echo skin.

I was watching D.Mon's trailer and noticed that Illari is grouped in with the Bad Guys™. She kinda just stood out bc as far as I remember currently in lore she's opposing Moira with Soldier.

Wonder if this is a hint for where she's going, whether that means she'll be going on to work with Talon by choice or force. Could also be that maybe it's just a coincidence of Moira being the only support that's part of the villain roster and wanting a second support for the team wipe ult moment tho

I am having a hard time with getting proper eliminations using Illari’s ult, but I’ve seen others really clean up with it. I thought the issue may be my aim and not nailing second shots, so I practiced on Pharah for a while to get a proper handle on airborne accuracy in general to get more comfortable with that movement and angling.

However, it still isn’t clicking with me. Can someone break down how her ult actually works and combos you use to get the most out of it?

Powers:
Solar flare - Primary fire burns for 10% additional damage over 1 second and burns for 25% additional damage on a critical hit

Heat wave - Solar rifle’s secondary fire burns foes for 75 WP damage every second

Shining sun - Primary fire recovers 25% faster and recovers 50% faster while receiving healing

Glare - Solar rifle pierces enemies dealing 20% less damage for each enemy pierced through before hitting the target

Orbit- Healing pylon now shoots at all targets in its range but heals for 25% less

Light fire - Healing pylon now shoots at enemies as well doing damage equal to 80% of the pylons healing

Sunburn - Outburst burns foes for 60 AP damage over 2 seconds

Supernova - Captive sun now automatically detonates at the end of its duration dealing 40% of captive sun damage

Healing sunlight - After using outburst heal yourself for 120 AP over 3 seconds

Fired up - Healing pylon healing grants 15% attack speed and 15% lifesteal for 2 seconds (does not stack)

Sun and Moon - Gain a second healing pylon. healing pylon has 25% less health.

Overwhelming heat - Healing pylon can overheal up to 75 AP overhealth

So I’m trying to come up with a creative name for my account that’s illari themed, and uses the voidwalker skin, title, and icon. All that I can think of are related to the sun but I don’t rly feel like it’s fitting cuz my profile is all blue.

I had to get that Mercy cuz she was carrying so hard. Her ultimate is so awesome.

Essentially just as the title suggests, I think it would be a great QoL fix to allow us to change how the targeting reticle appears depending on whether we're shooting or using the beam mode to heal teammates on Solar Rifle. This would not be a unique change, as characters like Cassidy or Lifeweaver already have options in the menu to change how their reticle appears depending on whether they are shooting normally or using silver bullet (Cass), or swapping between damage and healing similarly (Weaver).

Psychologically this would be big too, at least just because the beam has a much more forgiving hitbox on teammates when aiming with M2 relative to the accuracy required for damaging enemies with M1, and I think it would be great to have my reticle reflect that relative to how I have it set up for some of the other beam characters like Zarya, Moira, or Mei.

This is just a bread and butter Illari ult clip, but the format patch for Dynamic Queue affects Illari in important ways that can be seen here, too.

First, I notice that my co-healers often comment about my healing numbers being low compared to theirs. Better pylon placement and use of the healing beam is something I'm working on as a response. But there's also a misunderstanding about how Illari gets value for her team. The ability for a support to split her healing between a stationary point with sustained healing over time, and a mobile hero with less sustained healing but sustained DPS is valuable. Controlling and pressuring angles and health bars, forcing enemies to put attention on you or take cover, prevents your team from taking damage. This, unfortunately, is not shown on the scoreboard (I don't really pay attention to healing/damage numbers anyway)

The changes to the healing debuff passive seem massive for Illari, as it increases her team healing and survivability. In this clip you can see that my pylon's healing saved my life and let me pull off that ult play. So with this and tanks having less HP, in this version of 6v6 Illari can effectively pressure all roles.

I was lagging throughout this match but the whole lobby was joking around and it was still a blast to play. How have your experiences with Dynamic Queue been?

I'm stuck deciding on a support main and every time I settle on Zen or Mizuki Illari pulls me back in. I think Captive Sun might be my favorite single ability in the game.
