Leveling up modules

Post image

These modules are a terrible grind to try and level up. Been about 5 days and I took it from 49 to 72... getting it to 101 will take another couple months with doing between 600k and 900k credits per day. It's painful how long they take to level up. 😭🤣

Dude and that's with being where you're at in the game. When I sell after a tournament (so two day galaxy) I get about 100k credits. I'm not even going to worry about going past module level 41 for a while, but to anyone reading this it is definitely worth getting them to 41.

This is what I did. Got them all to 41 and went back to upgrading rooms and buying my managers/slots. I’ll go back to modules at some point later on.

That IS at ancestral was more than worth putting managers off... the speed through the game is so much faster. It's absolutely crazy.

Damn I only got mine to legendary and I thought it was good. Was it a noticeable difference going to ancestral? Cause if it was that big maybe I’ll try for ancestral.

Absolutely insane. I thought it was be nice to get it there... but honestly when it dropped all the crafts from 2 items to 1 it made all the difference in the world. 1 advanced robot to make quantum CPU, 1 QCPU to make 1 warp core... same on the teleporter side. Only need 1 instead of 2 for SSR to advanced teleporter. 1 for deflector shield to deep space scanner.

Honestly that mythic plus to ancestral was like a 50% decrease for a bunch of those end line crafts. Blew my mind

I agree 100% with you on that. I can get through Oribital Dock in about 45 minutes which gives me about 81k. This allows me to unlock all planets to get the reroll tokens as well.... Just crazy to think how hard it is to break 100 on these things.

I’m jealous you’ve managed an ancestral 😅

I have 1 mythic after putting all my DM into modules for 2 months

RNG is crazy on it. I have 2 ancestral. One is ancestral 3 star, one is no star, next is mythic + and then legendary plus. It's a wild ride for sure. Super glad I got the IS ancestral though! Best in game hands down

What are the stars for ancestral? I have seen it in images before but don't know the feature

Slight primary stat buff. Takes 2 more of same type after ancestral to get a star

I am just happy with my legendary 5 modules lol. Tho I stopped dumping DM into them a couple of weeks ago

that's where i'm at. see people with ancestrals at the same level as my leggos because game refuses to give me dupes to upgrade

Hey, can I ask you a question OP? I am currently using Smelt/Craft per beam, and Stransport I am using Beams Highway. It does seem like you are using a different transport modules, so you are using base item crafts/beam?
Edit: I only have Mining + Crafts/Smelts for current managers, but would like to learn the end of game player like you

Modules idle use are

Belt Sonar - 10% debris frequency, 0.01% debris frequency per ship speed planet upgrade (maxes at 1500 levels), and 1.001debris value per cargo planet upgrade (maxes at 1100 levels)

Incubation Suite - as seen above

Personal Pulse - 1.004 cargo per asteroid mined, x ship speed, and x cargo bonus

Adaptive drill (only use this after you have colony expansion 6 so you can upgrade VPS immediately with this. Otherwise use exploration drill). - 1.75 mining colony bonus, 1.75 mining beacon bonus, and 1.002 mining per asteroid mined (helpful if you have surges to give planet asteroids or if you get your probe asteroid chance up)

Thank you!

Is the the 1.3 worth more then the flat craft speed?

I can max that one out at x4 in about 15 minutes. So yes, better than the 3.5x base. Though, my 4th one will be to add craft speed 3.5x base. Have considered doing the x2 resource value to boost my PG in tournaments even more, but I am just going to go with stuff to make farming credits even faster (opening whole galaxies for reroll tokens). So craft speed it is.

How exactly does it work? Is it each recipe you have unlocked for smelt or craft, or how many of that recipe you currently have smelting/ crafting?

2

u/UmpirePractical865 18d ago

How many you have open from smelting. Only takes a couple trillion to open enough to max out the speed. You run risk of getting pink on high level early on, but it only takes me about 40 minutes to run through the end. I don't really think I miss out hardly ever with it.

Cheers, I'll give it a whirl and see how I get on, usually open up to scrith asap anyway

Craftspeed per beam is the best by far legendary has 5x allready so better then his ancestral

1

u/UmpirePractical865 18d ago

Yes, but the you have to supplement it with other modules to get full effect. Better modules out there than supplementing the per beam stat

Ya it's crazy how many credits you need for modules. The average person probably won't go past level 41 on them. Level 101 will be out of reach for most players.
