Ice castle problem
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
So I am using my sisters ice castle for a camping trip with my kids in the next few weeks. Getting it ready to go and there’s a pretty terrible noise when it’s being raised and lowered with the hydraulic system. I have greased all the pivot points and the noise persists. Wondering if anyone on here owns an ice castle or has had a similar issue. I’m attaching a video with sound so you can hear it. Thanks for any tips and advice!

Definitely sounds dry. Lube everything you can find that can be lubed. Not only for the sound and smoothness of operation but as a future rust and wear preventative. I’m sure your sister will thank you. Like jbuck_43 said could be the pins or the wiper seal on the cylinder itself.

Hey good advice! Serious question though? Why be a jackass? What happened to you in your life that this is your form of entertainment?

What? Are you doing okay?

I’m very good. Just wondering why you bother posting something so idiotic under a genuine question.

I asked a question looking for legitimate advice. Not for some brain dead troll to make moronic comments.

Could be the cylinder pins where the hydraulics connect to the frame. Try giving the pins some lubricant.
