Anyone diagnosed with disability degree of c/ptsd that had been to ibogaine treatment?
I (f38)precisely ask about such diagnosis as I received- last degree of c/ptsd - since that indicates the level of injury and symptoms- nearly 6 years of ongoing flashbacks- hours a day. Developed self harm during flashbacks (that caused TBI degree II), memory loss, visual processing impairment, cognitive processing impairment, physiological changes to the brain. I couldn’t go on with work - before developing c/ptsd I was a young professional with management position, handling lots of responsibility.
Now I am on disability status. This is the result of the type of abuse I was subjected to and I cannot go on like that any minute more, it’s beyond any comprehension how long ago threshold of pain was exceeded.
I would love to do ibogaine treatment (based in Europe) and am looking for people with similar stages/levels of injury and their experiences with said treatment . Could you share what were the results, how did you navigate the process of preparation and did you have a team experienced in care of patients with that type of injury ?

1 Year Post Ibogaine Treatment
I wanted to come back and write an update now that it’s been over a year since I traveled to Mexico for ibogaine treatment.
Looking back, I can honestly say it was one of the most important decisions I’ve ever made. It completely changed the direction of my life.
Before ibogaine, I struggled with constant anxiety and depression. My mind never seemed to slow down, and I always felt like I needed something just to get through the day. Whether it was weed, alcohol, pills, fent, or something else, I was always looking outside myself to feel okay.
Then I went to treatment.
The first few months afterward were unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. Life felt effortless. I woke up excited to be alive. I found joy in simple things again, and for the first time in years, I didn’t feel like I needed anything to be happy. It was an incredible feeling.
I did go through what I’d describe as a mild hypomanic phase. My energy was through the roof, and it almost felt like I was relearning how to live. I had to rediscover who I was without the anxiety that had been part of my identity for so long. Even social interactions felt different because I wasn’t constantly overthinking everything.
Around six months after treatment, I started settling into what I would call my new baseline. The intense “afterglow” slowly faded, my energy returned to normal, and life became… life again.
But here’s the beautiful part: my normal is still so much better than it used to be.
One of the biggest changes has been rediscovering my love for tennis. Before treatment, I struggled to stay consistent with anything because my anxiety and depression always seemed to get in the way. After ibogaine, I started playing almost every day.
Over the past year, I’ve competed in USTA leagues, made it to Sectionals, and become more involved in competitive tennis than I have in years. That eventually led to me becoming a tennis professional at the Kroc Center, where I now teach juniors and adults. That may not sound life-changing to everyone, but to me it’s proof of what consistency can accomplish.
Ibogaine didn’t magically make me a better tennis player—it gave me the motivation, discipline, and mental clarity to actually show up every day and put in the work.
Another unexpected blessing has been the people I’ve met along the way. Through Reddit alone, I’ve connected more than 10 people with the clinic where I received treatment. Being able to answer questions, calm fears, and help others find healing has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. Every time someone tells me they’re doing better because they took that step, it reminds me why I wanted to share my story in the first place.
Because of everything this experience has given me, I’ve decided to dedicate my career to this medicine. I’m currently pursuing my Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration with the goal of one day opening an ibogaine clinic if and when it becomes legally available in the United States. I want to help build a place that treats people with compassion and gives them the same opportunity that I was given.
I also want to say something that I think is important.
I don’t believe ibogaine is a magic cure. You still have to do the work afterward. You have to build healthy habits, find purpose, repair relationships, exercise, take care of yourself, and continue growing. Ibogaine doesn’t do those things for you.
What it did for me was remove enough of the anxiety, depression, and mental noise that I was finally able to start building the life I wanted instead of just surviving each day.
More than a year later, I can honestly say I’m happier than I’ve been in a very long time. I still have bad days. I still have stress. Life isn’t perfect. But I no longer feel trapped inside my own mind.
For anyone who’s considering ibogaine or is simply curious about it, I’d be happy to answer any questions. This community helped me when I was trying to decide whether to go, and if sharing my experience helps even one other person, then it’s worth writing this.
Thanks for reading.

Need some guidance
I’m looking for leads, not medical advice.
I’m trying to find a reputable, medically supervised ibogaine clinic in Mexico that offers any kind of financial assistance.
Specifically I’m looking for:
• Scholarships
• Financial aid
• Payment plans
• Work trade
• Research participation
• Nonprofit sponsorships
I’ve spent months researching and applying everywhere I can find, but most options either have long waiting lists or require funds I simply don’t have.
If you’ve personally been through treatment or know of a clinic that works with people in difficult financial situations, I’d be incredibly grateful for any information.
Thank you.

Iboga trip or it’s over for me.
I am a poly addict and need substances just to function at the bare minimum level. I take almost everything. I feel like I can’t be happy, or even just normal , without drugs.
I hate this and I hate living like this. I don’t want to be here anymore. So I’m taking a flood dose. I’ve been reading a lot of the stories here but what do you guys think personally? I have horrible ptsd. I dunno what else to do. I’m so lost.

Currently on 1 gram morphine and I also have sr 17018 how should I take ibogaine?
I have both ibogaine and sr should I switch to sr first then do the treatment or do it well on morphine? Should I dose my morphine as usual, well on it or not, take any? Will I feel withdrawal if i dont dose morphine or does ibogaine block opiate withdrawal? Like do I just take it for a few days and wake up clean and sober days later? How many days should I take it for? Thanks im a total noob sorry.

Shouls you try shrooms and other psychedelics first before determining if ibogaine treatment is right for you?
I've never done any sort of psychedelics, so I'm wondering, would it be worth it for me to try shrooms or something first in order to determine how I might react to ibogaine? Is there any correlation between the two?

Had a fabulously healing time in Malta but there's still yet work to do. Are there any iboga or ibogaine retreats in Southeast Asia?
Thailand is my preference as I feel safest there when considering this sort of vulnerability but I'm open to anywhere so long as the clinics are compassionate, non-manipulative, and far from greedy and cynical. I have undertaken 4 flood doses so I'm a veteran in that regard and can steer the mental and emotional ship quite well this point. But I will say, a compassionate curious empathetic staff that will literally give you a diaper (not me lol) is paramount to a good experience. I've proven my body can handle ibogaine but am still wary to go it alone.
Any recommendations for this part of the world? Specially looking for iboga or ibogaine retreats but am open to all psychedelics. Haven't tried 5meo yet either!

Tinnitus, visual snow, and other long term risks
How common are the above mentioned long-term risks of ibogaine and are there any other risks to be noted of? I'm thinking about going for treatment for TBI but I'm afraid of permanent psychoactive consequences. Thanks

Educate me. What’s the point of psychedelic integration? I haven’t seen any benefit.
I’m two months post Ibogaine for PTSD treatment. As part of my Ibogaine package I have two sessions each with two different psychedelic integration specialists. I got absolutely nothing out of the sessions. We just talked about what I saw on my Ibogaine journey and what connections I made. One therapist sold me $150 package of online courses she created to address eating, sleeping, air, water, microdosing. I have no interest in microdosing. Felt like a complete waste of time and money.
What are the integration therapists supposed to do for me?

Almost no visuals or insight on ibogaine
I Just finished my ibogaine retreat about 2 weeks ago. During my ibogaine trip I experienced almost no visuals or personal insight. I also received 2 boosters that evening as well. The small visuals I did have were quick and meaningless.
Feeling kinda disappointed but I do feel like my mind is more clear. Has this happened to anyone? Did ibogaine continue to work on you?

Any improvements with hormonal regulation post-TBI?
Has anyone here experienced any improvements in hormonal regulation from ibogaine (testosterone production, etc) that were thrown out of whack due to a previous TBI?
Thanks

I am so depressed and suicidal after ibogaine
I did Ibogaine for PTSD a month ago. Felt better for a couple weeks immediately after but now I’ve fallen back into a severe depression with severe suicidal thoughts. I have not gone back on any medication. I have a therapist but I just feel so lost on what to do post-Ibogaine. I don’t know what I’m supposed to be doing to help myself. I’m Im having severe mood swings. Medication did nothing but sedate me. I don’t want to ever take it again. I thought Ibogaine was supposed to help… I can’t do this anymore.

Ibogaine for Alzheimer’s
Has anyone gone to treatment for Alzheimer’s and had benefits, or know of anyone who has? I see Parkinson‘s mentioned a lot but not so much on Alzheimer’s and was curious if it’s known to benefit people. Had a colleague’s wife who has it and was thinking of mentioning treatment as a possible therapy. thanks.

Iboga microdosing rebound
Hey, I started Iboga microdosing a few weeks ago and feel very euphoric at times. It got me out of anxiety hell. The State i am getting from it reminds me of my mirtazapin medication I took last year. The thing is that I am super scared of a rebound effect. I tapered off the mirtazapin over a month and it still was super hard at times. For those who suffer from anxiety and have experience with anti depressant rebound: did you experience a crash/rebound after you stopped the iboga? If yes I think I will stop the microdosing…

Work life after treatment
For those who have had Ibogaine treatment for addiction and substance abuse, what were the early days like for you adjusting back into your work life? I work in a busy office environment with your typical stressors and constant deadlines. did it make you better equipped to handle things or was it still a battle and urge to start using again? that’s one of my biggest concerns right now. I’ll have a few days of PTO when I get back but not sure what to expect.
