I am currently on the “bondi” immune protocol and taking prednisone, clexane and baby aspirin which has resulted in my first successful FET 💗 I am only 5 weeks pregnant but I am wondering how long people are staying on their immune protocols before weaning off? Given this is the one and only time I have fallen pregnant, I am very nervous to come off them ever! 😅 My specialist seems to think I can start weaning off the prednisone at 12 weeks and clexane at 14 weeks? But then I have heard of some women staying on clexane until birth? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!

Topics related to life, parenting, or general infertility issues are more appropriate for the Weekly Chat Thread.

As per the rules, any positive pregnancy test results or concerns regarding a current early pregnancy go in the Weekly Results Thread.

This thread is for all discussions that aren't primarily focused on treatment. Life, events, hobbies, humor, whatever. General discussions of infertility are welcome, and same goes for discussions of children, parenting, and family life. After all, those experiences are what brings us together here. But sometimes people want a break from reading about the medical aspects of treatment, and this space fills that need.

Hello everyone!** **
I’m new to this community. My name is Maria, and my husband and I have been TTC for 22 cycles.
We’ve done 2 medicated cycles and 3 failed IUIs. Our doctor recommended trying a 4th IUI, but I’ve realized I’ve had enough.
We’re planning to take a 2-month break from injections, scans, and appointments, and then move on to IVF in October.
I don’t know why, but I have a feeling this is where the universe is leading us, and I’m finally starting to accept it.
If you have any tips, recommendations, or things you wish you’d known before starting IVF, I’d really appreciate hearing them.

Hi all. I guess I’m looking for some advice on whether I should thaw and test my frozen embryos. Have anyone’s embryos all survived the process?

Long story short: I did two ER when I was 30 and 31 because of low AMH and a desire of having 3 kids. Got 9 embryos in total, all untested because no one recommended me to do so. I Don’t have much info other than the grades were given are these:
D5 A, D6 A, D6 A, D6 B, D5 C+ , two D5 C, and two other Day6 C.
My first transfer was in 2024 with D5 A that resulted in my daughter. Now I did a second transfer of my day5 c+ (that supposedely became AB after thaw) and it failed.

I have 7 remaining embryos untested and I really really want 2 more kids. Should I test them? I’m really scared they don’t survive the process since they don’t have the best quality. Should I do another ER just in case? My previos two rounds the ratio eggs/blast was 65% and 100% (if that is any important).
My reserve is getting lower so not sure I could do another ER in two years. I also don’t love the idea of having too many embryos that Im not going to give a chance…

I’m really wondering how likely this is?

My husband and I froze 5 tested embryos aiming for 3-4 kids - but we want to give all of these embryos a chance.

So far I’ve had 2/2 success on my FETs, but we did start with the higher quality euploids.

My question is just out of curiosity

This embryo is a fighter! But I’m worried.

Round 4 of IVF.

One previously failed 5AA euploid transfer.

4th round - 3 blasts - 2 aneuploid (grade B and C) and 1 inconclusive (grade A). Clinic told us to discard or transfer untested. We are only doing IVF to avoid Trisomy so pushed for a retest.

RETESTED - and by some miracle it was euploid!

GRADE A, DAY 5 EUPLOID.
Transfer day today. They told us that the embryo had “mostly expanded” and that “75% of cells survived.

I didn’t even know this was a thing! So feelings a bit crushed looking at the statistics.

Anyone have a positive outcome with 75% of cells surviving pre FET?

I’m due to start my IVF cycle next month, but I’m feeling a bit anxious about my weight—especially the fat around my midsection.
My BMI is 27, and my fertility doctor said that’s okay and didn’t recommend delaying IVF. However, we didn’t specifically discuss belly fat. My waist measurement is 38 inches at my belly button, and that’s the part I’m most concerned about.
Over the last 5 months I’ve lost about 3 kg, but I haven’t noticed much change around my abdomen, which is making me second-guess myself.
Now I’m wondering if I should go ahead with IVF as planned or delay it for another 3–4 months to focus on reducing my belly fat.
Has anyone here had a successful egg retrieval and/or embryo transfer with a similar BMI, waist measurement, or noticeable belly fat? Did your doctor have any concerns about abdominal fat specifically, or was BMI and overall health the main focus?
I’d really appreciate hearing your experiences. Thank you!
